AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FRO14
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIKITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of
the City of Fort Worth is herebv discontinued as a part of the City of Fort
Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land southwest of the City of Fort
Worth lying in and including all or part of the M. E. Asbury,
M. B. Risk, T. & P. RR Company, J. F. Heath, R. A. Bessent,
C. Johnson, W. W. Warnell, James Sharp, J. 0. Quinn, J. P.
Smith, G. H. & H RR Company, D. T. Finley, T. & N. 0. RR
Company, L. Langston, E. Taylor, Socora Farming Company,
S. A. & M. G. RR Company, T. F. Rogers, William Atkins,
T. Finley, F. C. Stocton, Henry Lane, W. Robinson, S.
Cobb and A. McDaniel Surveys;
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of
the City of Fort Worth at the intersection of the north line
of County Road No. 1043 with the west line of County Road No.
1089;
THENCE along the present City Limit Line of the City
of Fort Worth;
west along the north line of County Road No. 1043 to its
intersection with the east line of the Jesse Bartlett Survey,
and
south along the east line of said Jesse Bartlett Survey to
its southeast corner, and
west with the Benbrook City Limit Line along the south line
of the Jesse Bartlett Survey and the south line of the J.S.
Evans Survey to the east line of the F.S. Mervin Survey, and
south along the east line of the F.S. Mervin Survey to its
southeast corner, and
west along the south line of the said F.S. Mervin Survey to
its southwest corner, and
north along the west line of the said F.S. Mervin Survey to
the southeast corner of the H.A. Lounes Survey, and
west along the south line of the H.A. Lounes Survey to its
southwest corner in the east line of the T. & N. 0. RR Co.
Survey, and
south along the east line of the T. & N. 0. RR Company
Survey to its southeast corner, and
west along the south line of the T. & N. 0. RR Company Sur-
vey to a southwest corner, a corner of Benbrook City Limits,
and
north with the Benbrook City Limit Line along the west line
of the D.H. Dickson Survey produced south, across the L.
Iangston and E. Taylor Surveys to the southwest corner of
the D.H. Dickson Survey; and
continuing north along the west line of the D.H. Dickson
Survey to its intersection with the south line of County
Road No. 1024, and
westerly along the south line of County Road No. 1024, with
its meanders, to its intersection with the west line of Tarrant
County, and
south along the west line of Tarrant County to its intersection
with the north line of State Farm to Market Road No. 2376, and
in a southeasterly direction along the north line of State Farm
to Market Road No. 2376 with its meanders to its intersection
with the westerly line of U. S. Highway No. 377, and
in a northeasterly direction with the westerly line of U. S.
Highway No. 377 to its intersection with the south line of the
D.T. Finley Survey, and
east along the south lines of the D.T. Finley, G. H. & H. RR
Company, and J.P. Smith Surveys to the southeast corner of the
J.P. Smith Survey, and
in a southeasterly direction to the most northerly interior
southeast corner of the J. 0, Quinn Survey, the most northerly
northwest corner of the W. Anglin Survey, and
east along the most northerly south line of the J. 0. Quinn
Survey, to its easterly southeast corner, and continuing east
along the south lines of the J. Sharp, W.W. Warnell and C.
Johnson Surveys to the southeast corner of the said C. Johnson
Survey in the west line of the R.A. Bessent Survey and continu-
ing east across the said R.A. Bessent Survey to its east line,
and
south along the east line of the R.A. Bessent Survey to its
southeast corner, in a south line of the J.F. Heath Survey,and
east, south, east, north and east, along the lines of the said
J.F. Heath Survey to its southeast corner in the west line of
the J. Van Lent Survey, and
north along the west line of the J. Van Lent Survey to its
northwest corner, and
east along the north line of the J. Van Lent Survey to its
northeast corner, the southeast corner of the T. & P. RR Co.
Survey, and
north along the east line of the T. & P. RR Company Survey,and
continuing along the east line of the N. B. Risk Survey to an
interior corner in said Survey, and
east to the easterly southeast corner of the N. B. Risk Survey,
and
north to the northeast corner of the N. B. Risk Survey;
THENCE west along the south line of the B. W. Gunn Survey
and continuing west along the south line of the B. W. Gunn
Survey produced west to a point 634.2 feet east from the east
right-of-way line of County Road No. 1089;
THENCE southerly along a curve to the left with a radius
of 8155 feet, a distance of 1050.03 feet;
THENCE south 88 degrees 28 minutes west 180.66 feet to the
beginning of a curve to the right with a radius of 1675.35 feet;
THENCE westerly along said curve to the right to its inter-
section with the northwesterly right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1089;
THENCE southwesterly along the northwesterly right-of-way
line of County Road No. 1089 to the place of beginning and con-
taining approximately 15.368 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance
in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends
Ordinance No. 3823, heretofore adopted and passed on May 16, 1958, but as
to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict
herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held
invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion
so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of
the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an
order on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from
and after the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall
cease to be a part of the City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
