AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY
FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth
and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of Land north of the Courthouse of Tarrant County,
Texas, and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the west right-of-way line of Alta Vista
Road (County Road No. 3070) in the north line of the J. C. McComas
Survey North;
THENCE northerly along the westerly right-of-way lines of County
Road No. 3070, 3053, and 4053 to a point 50 feet north of the north
right-of-way line of County Road No. 4022.
THENCE easterly along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to
the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 4022 the present city
limit lines of the City of Fort :;orth and of Haltom City, to a point
50 feet west of the west line of the D. L. Hall Survey;
THENCE north along a line 50 feet west of and parallel to the
west line of the D. L. Hall Survey, the present city limit lines of
the City of Fort Worth and of Watauga, and 50•feet west of and parallel
to the west line of the inn. Evans Survey., to a point 50 feet north of
the north line of the D. L. Hall Survey produced West;
THENCE east along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to the
north line of the D. L. Hall Survey produced west and the D. L. Hall
Survey, the present city limit line of the city of Fort Worth and of
Watauga, to a point 50 feet west of the westerly right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway No. 377;
THENCE northeasterly along a line 50 feet west and parallel to
the westerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 377, the present
City limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to a point 50 feet south
of the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4046;
THENCE west along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the
south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4046, the present city
limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the
east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4066;
THENCE south along the east right-of-way line of County Road
No. 4066 to a point 50 feet south of the north line of the W. Converse
Survey produced east;
THENCE west along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the
north line of the W. Converse Survey produced east and 50 feet south
of and parallel to the north line of the W. Converse Survey, the
present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, and 50 feet south
of and parallel to the north line of the W. Converse Survey produced
wrist to a point 50 feet west of the west line of the W. Converse
Survey;
THENCE north along a line 50 feet west of and parallel to the
east line of the Wm. M. Bostick Survey, the present city limit line
of the City of Fort i.Torth to a point 50 feet south of the south
right-of-way line of County Road No. 4053;
THENCE west along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the
south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4053 and said right-of-way
line produced west, the present city limit line of the City of Fort
Worth, to a point 150 feet west of the east right-of-way line of County
Road No. 4053;
THENCE north, east, north, east, and north along a line 150 feet
west, north, west, north, and west of and parallel to the east, south,
east, south, and east right-of-way lines of County Road No. 4053, with
its meanders, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to
a point 50 feet south of the south right-of-way line of County Road No.
4033;
THENCE west along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the south
right-of-way line of County Road No. 4033, the present city limit line of.
the City of Fort Worth, and west and south along a line 50 feet south and
east of and parallel to the present city limit line of the City of Fort
Worth and 50 feet south and east of and parallel to the south and east
right-of-way lines of County Road No. 4048 to a point 50 feet south of
the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4106 produced east;
THENCE west along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the south
right-of-way line of County Road No. 4106 produced east to its inter-
section with the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4048;
THEME south and west along the east and south right-of-way lines
of County Road No. 4048 and the south right-of-way line of County Road
No. 4020 to a point 50 feet east of the present city limit line of Blue
Mound;
THENCE south, east, south, east, and south along a line 50 feet
east, north, east, north, and east of and parallel to the present city
limit line of Blue ;found and the City of Fort Worth to a point 50 feet
north of the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 4001;
THENCE east along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to the north
right-of-way line of County Road No. 4001 to its intersection with the
middle of Little Fossil Creek;
THENCE southeasterly, down the middle of Little Fossil Creek, to
its intersection with the north right-of-way line of County Road No.
4001;
THENCE east along the north right-of-way line of County Road No.
4001 and County Road No. 4001 produced east to its intersection with the
east right-of-way line of Sylvania. Avenue (County Road No. 3060) produced
north;
THENCE south along the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 3060
produced north and of County Road No. 3060 to its intersection with the
middle of Little Fossil Creek;
THENCE southeasterly, down the middle of Little Fossil Creek, to
its intersection with the north line of the M. Johnson Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the M. Johnson Survey to a
point 300 feet west of the west right—of—way line of County- Road No.
3070;
THENCE south along a line 300 feet west of and parallel to the
west right—of—way line of County Road No. 3070 to its intersection
with the north line of the J. C. McComas Survey North;
THENCE east along the north line of the J. C. McComas Survey
north to the place of beginning, and containing approximately 17.16
square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
Nos. 3867, 4075, and 4295, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as
to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith
this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort 1,:orth, from and after the
date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part
of the City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
