AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING TIME DOU'11Me"ani LIMITS AND
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE
CITY CiF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE ADVERTISED IN A DA::LY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN
SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER,
AMDING ALL CRDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING M
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CIF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 10 miles northwest from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the J.
Wilcox No. 35 and J. Wilcox No. 36, and being more fully described as
follows:
BEGINNITZ at a point in the present city limit line of the City of Fort
Worth 350 feet east from the center line of State Highway No. 199 and 50
feet north from the north line of the M. Hunt Survey;
TRICE northwesterly along a line parallel to and 350 feet northeasterly
from the center line of State Highway No. 199, to its intersection with the
City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth in the J. Wilcox No. 36 Survey,
as said line is described in the corporate boundary description of the city
of Fort Worth in the Fort Worth City Code of 1950;
THENCE easterly and southerly along the present City Limit Line of the
City of Fort Worth, to a point 50 feet north from the north line of the M.
Hunt Survey;
INENGE west along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth
parallel to and 50 f eet north from the north line of the M. Hunt Survey to the
place of beginning and containing approximately .390 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby emend every prior ordinance in conflict
herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 4734,
heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or
sections of ordinances not in direct conflict, herewith this ordinance shall be and
is hereby made cumulative.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
]C."M of the City Chapter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
