HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6070 ORDINANCE NO. � AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE EIGHT FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT ACROSS BLOCK 3, HIGHLAND HOMES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TAR- RANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVER- SION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the east-west utility easement 8 feet in width and 362.4 feet in length across Block 3, Highland Homes Ad- tion to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Vol. 388-A, page 102, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an easement for public utilities. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said easement above described is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. The subject easement is not needed in its present location. Private utility companies and City departments have reviewed the request and do not object to the proposed vacation. The City Plan Commission recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the easement as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement as recommended by the City Plan Commission. HDM:ms Attach.
