HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6181 ORDINANCE NO. Q BI AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLACK 40, M. G. ELLIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM N.W. TWENTY-SIXTH STREET TO N.W. TWENTY-SEVENTH STREET, BF ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVXRSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley in Block 40, M. G. Ellis Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, from N.W. Twenty-sixth Street to N.W. Twenty-seventh Street, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or charaeter. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law, save and except that a utility easement is retained from N.W. Twenty- seventh Street mouth to the south property lines of Lots 4 and 21. SECTIF]N 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Ellis Addition, a width of 20 feet and a langth of 596 feet from N. W. Ti,Yenty -Sixth Street to N. W. Twenty--Seventh Street, as shown on the attached map. Subject right-of way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the ground. This request is made fcr the purpose of expanding the building area.
