AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING TART THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY
IN BLOCK 98, CITY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM WEST FIFTH
STREET SOUTH TO WEST SIXTH STREET, BE ABANDONED,
VACATED AND CLOSEDr PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE MEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN
SAID LANDr.REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITHr AND PROVIDING AN EPFECTIV3 DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the north-south alley in Block 98, City Addition to
the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, from West Fifth
Street south to West Sixth street, be and the same is hereby
vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public
thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the fee to
the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed. .
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

VJILKES HA DY Mr. J. Clark Nowlin, with consent of all abutting property owners, has re-
quested that the City vacate the north-south alley in Block 98, City Ad-
dition, from West Fifth Street south to West Sixth Street as shown on the
attached map.
Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is paved. If this request is
granted the vacated right-of-way will be platted with adjoining property to
provide additional building area for a proposed parking garage.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objections provided the Applicant replats; dedicates thereon
easements for all existing utilities; and/or makes satisfactory arrangements
for relocation of said existing utilities.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of
an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested and the Applicant
has submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-sway
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
