AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF ALTA
MESA BOULEVARD ADJACENT TO LOT 1, BLOCK 527,
WEDGWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM CHESHIRE DRIVE
SOUTHWESTERLY TO TRACT 1, W. W. WHEAT SURVEY,
AND A PORTION OF CHESHIRE DRIVE ADJACENT TO
LOT 1, BLOCK 532, AND LOTS 11 AND 12, BLOCK
527 OF SAID ADDITION, FROM VIESCO AVENUE SOUTH
TO TRACT 1 OF SAID SURVEY, BE VACATED, ABAN-
DONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of street right-
of-way of Alta Mesa Boulevard and Cheshire Drive be and the
same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as
a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character what-
ever, save and except that easements are reserved for any
and all existing utilities:
ALTA MESA BOULEVARD
Commencing at a point in the southeasterly
right-of-way line of Alta Mesa Boulevard, a
120-foot wide public street, said point being
the most westerly corner of Block 528, Wedg-
wood Addition;
Thence S. 480091 W. 50.0 feet along said
southeasterly line of said street to the point
of beginning of the tract herein described;
Thence S. 480091 W., continuing along said
street, 120.0 feet to a point for corner;
Thence S. 41051' E. 35.0 feet to the most
westerly corner of Lot 1, Block 527 of said
Addition;
Thence N. 480091 E. 120.0 feet to the north-
east corner of said Lot 1;
Thence N. 410511 W. 35.0 feet to the point
of beginning, and containing 4,200 square feet
of land.
CHESHIRE DRIVE
Commencing at the southwest corner of Lot 12,
Block 527, Wedgwood Addition;
Thence N. 89027' E. 123.1 feet along the south
line of said Lot 12 to a point in the west line
of Cheshire Drive, a 50.0 foot public street,
said point being the point of beginning of the
tract herein described and the beginning of a non-
tangent curve to the left whose radius is 1603.81
feet;
Thence along said west line of said street
and along said curve to the left in a northerly
direction through a central angle of 4047119"
a distance of 134.04 feet to the end of said
curve and the beginning of a non-tangent curve
to the left whose radius is 50.0 feet;
Thence along said curve to the left in an
easterly direction through a central angle of
69020'12" a distance of 60.51 feet to the end of
said curve and the beginning of a non-tangent
curve to the right whose radius is 1653.81 feet;
Thence along said curve to the right and along
the east right-of-way line of said Cheshire Drive
through a central angle of 0315456" a distance
of 113.0 feet to a point in the end of said street
as it is now platted;
Thence 5.89027' W. 50.0 feet to the point of
beginning and containing 5,829 square feet of land.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the
fee to the land in said streets is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

ed that the City vacate a portion of street right-of-way 35 ft. x 120 ft. in

Drive southwesterly to Tract 1, W. W. Wheat Survey, Abstract 1646, and to
IUMAN REED vacate Cheshire Drive in the 7000 block a width of 50' and a length of 120

Addition from Viesco Avenue south to Tract 1, W. W. Wheat Survey, Abstract
1646, as shown on the attached map.

lhLLS The subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are neither open nor
improved. There are underground telephone facilities in that portion of the
ItLKES right-of-way requested to be vacated adjacent to Alta Mesa Blvd.
NooD Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request provided:
1. Sufficient area is retained as a utility easement to accommodate the
existing telephone company facilities adjacent to Alta Mesa Blvd. ,
or satisfactory relocation arrangements are made.
2. A satisfactory replat of the vacated right-of-way is submitted for
review and final approval.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an
ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as requested.
A satisfactory replat has been submitted to the City staff and arrangements
have been made for the telephone facilities.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
