AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT PORTION OF ODUM ROAD ADJACENT TO BLOCKS 9, 1OR AND 11, MARK IV INDUSTRIAL PARK, EXTENDING IN A SOUTH- EASTERLY DIRECTION FROM THE FORT WORTH & DENVER RAILROAD TO THE SOUTH LINES OF BLACKS 1OR AND 11 OF SAID MARK IV INDUSTRIAL PARK, TO LONE STAR BOULEVARD; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF SIMILAR ORDINANCES AFFECTING STREET NAMES; RE- PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the portion of Odum Road located adjacent to Blocks 9, 1OR and 11, Mark IV Industrial Park, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and extending 800 feet in a southeasterly direction from the Fort Worth & Denver Railroad to the south lines of said Blocks 1OR and 11, is hereby changed to Lone Star Boulevard. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances affecting the names of streets in the City of Fort Worth except insofar as it may be in conflict with the pro- visions of those ordinances, in which instance they are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Odum Road is an east-west thoroughfare while this portion is in a north-south configuration, and - -will terminate in the industrial area. 2. This portion of Odum Road has no physical connection with the east-west portion ,of Odum -Road., and is only accessible from Franklin Drive. It - •is •approximately -800 feet long and runs in a southeasterly to -northwesterly direction. Odum Road is a major east-west thoroughfare with a proposed extension over the Fort Worth and Denver -Railroad tracks, The Mark IV Industrial Park abuts the north silo of Odum -Roast -at -i.ts, intersection with Deen Road. The Police, Fire, Traffic, Public Works, and- Water Department and the Post Master have reviewed this request -and -have -no objections. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordIrtance-be -adopted changing the name of that portion of Odum Road lying -inside the -Mark IV .Industrial Park to Lone Star Boulevard to avoid future confusion.
