"° — Frank L. Thompson, w,id the consent of all other owners in Pebble Creek
OIL111 Addition, has requested that the City vacate Forest Crest Drive as a
public street from Hid4, Road to the west line of Lot 5, Pebble Creek
Addition, as shown on :X attached map.
This public right -of -way, located between the north line of Pebble Creek
Addition and the River Crest Country Club, extends a distance of more
than 700 feet to a dead -end, with no dedicated turn - around. Acquired
by dedication, it is unimproved.
The Fire Department has stated that access to Lots 2, 3B, 4 & 5 must
be retained and kept open for emergency vehicle use to provide service
to the interior of the addition. The Police Department has concurred
with this comment. Collinear utility easements should also be retained
in the appropriate locations.
The reviewing City departments and public utility companies have no
objections to this request provided the Applicants replat the vacated
right-of-way with adjoining property, retaining the northern 15 feet
portion which abuts the existing 15 feet easement on River Crest
Country Club property as an emergency access easement, providing pro-
vision for turn - around at the northern end of Hidden Road and dedicating
collinear easements for water and sewer lines and providing other
utility easements as needed. A satisfactory replat has been received
by the City staff.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends
adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right -of -way as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject
right -of -way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
