ORDINANCE NO. 1 q S -�
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE
10 FOOT WIDE PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY EASEMENTS ADJACENT
TO LOTS 7 AND 8; 21 AND 22; 35, 36 and 37, BLOCK E,
COOKE'S MEADOW ADDITION, AND TRACT 2A, E. S. JOHNSON
SURVEY, PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the 10 foot wide pedestrian walkway easements adjacent
to Lots 7 and 8; 21 and 22; 35, 36 and 37, Block E, Cooke's Meadow
Addition and Tract 2A, E. S. Johnson Survey, be and the same are
hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as pedestrian
walkways.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated
pedestrian walkways is hereby released and will revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT easements are
reserved therein for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so
ordained.

The Director of Public Works, City of Fort Worth, with the consent of all abutting
property owners, has requested that the City vacate the 10' wide pedestrian
walkway easements adjacent to Lots 7 & 8; 21 & 22; 35, 36 & 37, Block E, Cooke's
Meadow Addition and Tract 2A, E.S. Johnson Survey.
The subject pedestrian walkway easements, acquired by dedication, have not been
improved except for installation of water mains along the common lot line of
Lots 7 & 8 and 21. & 22, Block E, Cooke's Meadow Addition. Otherwise, there are
no other 'publi-c utility facilities contained t erein.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objection
to the requested vacations provided the vacated pedestrian walkway easements are
replatted with abutting property and utility easements retained as required. A
satisfactory replat, with all necessary and required utility easements, has been
submitted,.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request, and recommends that the sub-
ject pedestrian walkway easements be vacated.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the subject pedestrian walkway easements be vacated as
recommended by the City Plan Commission,
