AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX- ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO TIM CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD- ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worthy said territory being situ- ated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a tract of land south of the City of Fort Worth and lying in the G. M. Teague, J. J. Scott, G. Hamilton, J. B. Renfro, J. M. Robinson, J. E. Phillips, G. B. Stone, J. Martin, J. Steele, Sarah Gray, A. Lee, J. M. Zamprano, D. Pool, J. B. Kerr, T. Stephens, M. E. Cannon, Wm. H. Moneford, W. B. Stout, J. B. Boydston, N. Nichols, D. Gregory, J. Rendon, Wash Davidson, and H. G. Catlett Surveys, BEGINNING AT A POINT in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, at its intersection with the north line of the G. M. Teague Survey and the east line of U. S. Highway No. 81; THENCE south along the east line of U. S. Highway No. 81, with its meanders, to its intersection with the north line of the Sarah Gray Survey; THENCE east along the north line of the Sarah Gray Survey to its northeast corner; THENCE south along the east line of the Sarah Gray Survey to the northwest corner of the A. Lee Survey; THENCE east along the north lines of the A. Lee and Jose M. Zambrano Surveys to the westerly northwest corner of the J. Rendon Survey; THENCE east along the northerly south line of the J. Rendon Survey to its interior corner; THENCE north along the easterly West line of the J. Rendon Survey, and along the west lines of the Wash Davidson and H. G. Catlett Surveys to the inter- section of the west line of the H.C,Catlett Survey with the northeasterly line of County Road No. 1015; THENCE southeasterly, southerly, and southeasterly along the northeasterly, easterly, and :northeasterly lines of County Road No. 1015, with its meanders, to its intersection with the northwesterly line of County Road No. 1062; THENCE southwesterly along the northwesterly line of County Road No. 1062 to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant County; THENCE west along the south line of Tarrant County to its intersection with the west line of U. S. Highway No. 81; THENCE north along the west line of U. S. Highway No. 81 to its intersection with the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line; THENCE east along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line to the place of beginning and contain- ing approximately 7.2 square miles. SECTION 2• That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XKMI of the City Charter, SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
