AN ORDINANCE EXTF11DING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX-
ING CE,TAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT 10iTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NE15PAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY Dd AC=?D-

OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PILESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT i,'ORTH, TEXAS-
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situ-
ated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as
follows;
Being a tract of land southwest of the City of Fort
Worth and lying in the L. B. Creswell, T. G. Zackery,
J. F. Elliott, McKinney and Williams, D. H. Dickson,
N. Proctor and J. Watson Surveys.
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth City Limit Line in the north line of Benbrook
Cardinal Chaplin Road (County Road No. 1040), 30 feet
west of the intersection of said City Limit Line with
the east line of the L. B. Creswell Survey produced
north;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 30 feet
west of the east line of the L. B. Creswell Survey to
its intersection with the north line of the T. G.
Zachery Survey, and continuing south along said line
produced to its intersection with the middle of Mary's
Creek;
TH&CE east along the middle of Mary's Creek to its
intersection with the west line of the D. P. Dean tract
in the T. G. Zachary and J. F. Elliott Surveys;
TH&CE south along the west line of the D. P. Dean
tract to its southwest corner in the J. F. Elliott
Survey;
THENCE southeasterly along the southerly line of
the D. P. Dean tract to its intersection with the
east line of the J. F. Elliott Survey;
THENCE south along the east line of the J. F. Elli-
ott Survey to its easterly southeast corner;
THNCE west along the north line of the D. H. Dick-
son Survey to its northwest corner, the northeast
corner of the McKinney and Williams Survey;
THZ'CE south, west, south and west along the lines
of the McKinney and Williams Survey to the northeast
corner of the D. H. Dickson Survey, the northwest cor-
ner of the J. F. Elliott Survey, Abstract No, 495;
THENCE south along the east line of the D. H. Dick-
son Survey to its northerly southeast corner;
THENCE west to the east line of the J. Watson
Survey;
=A CE south along the east line of the J. Matson
Survey to its southeast corner;
TMICE west along the south lines of the J. Watson
and D. H. Dickson Surveys to the southwest corner of
the D. H. Dickson Survey;
THENCE north along; the west line of the D. H. Dick-
son Survey to its northwest corner;
THENCE east along the north line of the D. H. Dick-
son Survey to the southwest corner of the McKinney and
Williams Survey;
THENCE north, east and north along the lines of the
McKinney and ;•,illiams Survey to its northwest corner;
THINCE north along the easterly west line of the
McKinney and W11liams Survey produced north to its
intersection with the south line of the T. G. Zachery
Survey;
THE.ICE west along the south line of the T. G.
Zachery Survey to its southwest corner;
THENCE north along the west line of the T. G.
Zachery Survey to its northwest corner, and continuing
north along said line produced to its intersection
with the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line
in the north line of County Road No. 1040;
THUXE east along; the present City of Fort Worth
City Limit Line to the place of beginning and contain-
ing approximately 2.5 square miles.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper publisned in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
SEC'i0N 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
Presented and passed on first reading Friday, the day of
1958.
