WHEREAS, Thanksgiving Day is a traditional time when friends and .families
gather for food and fellowship; and,
WHEREAS, the MENEZ FAAfILY has provided Thanksgiving Day dinners for the
past ten years, in appreciation for the support from this community; and,
WHEREAS, more than 6700 citizens over the age of fifty-five were served
by the JIMENEZ FMILY in Fort I'lorth last year; and,
WHEREAS, Billy Bobs of Texas has graciously offered to provide the
facilities for the continuation of this tradition;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that City Council urge all citizens of the City
of Fort Worth to join the JIMENEZ FMILY in this endeavor by volunteering whatever
time and resources that may be available on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1983,
to continue this longstanding tradition.
