WHEREAS, all abutting property owners have requested, by
written and signed petition, that the City physically close, at
such property owners ' expense, the westernmost portion of the
15 foot wide east/west alley located in Block 1, Mattison' s
Addition, from the east property line of Lot 14, eastward 40 feet
to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of a north/
south alley located in said block; and
WHEREAS, the physical closure request is made in order to abate
trespassing and public congregation through and upon Lots 14, 15 ,
and 16 of said Block 1, Mattison's Addition by users of the afore-
said alley which is creating a public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Fort Worth has
reviewed this request and recommends that the subject portion of
the alley be closed as requested;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
That the westernmost portion of the existing 15 foot wide
east/west alley located in Block 1 , Mattison' s Addition, said portion
being that portion extending from the east property line of Lot 14
of said block eastward 40 feet to the west right-of-way line of a
north/south alley located in said block, be physically closed with
locked gates at the abutting property owners ' expense, with the
City to retain title to the public right-of-way in said alley,
retaining any and all easements for existing and prospective
utilities , and retaining the right of access at all times for the
purpose of maintaining existing utility facilities located in the
aforesaid portion of said alley.

Dear Sirs,
On behalf of the abutting property owners involved in the referenced
Staff Information Report, I assure the Council that I will close the
subject alley with locked gates at my expense and that access to the
closed portion of subject alley will be provided at all times to all
utility companies for the purpose of maintaining their existing utility
facilities .
