HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 921 :S :2 L A Resolution WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has been a member of the Fort Worth Consortium for Employment and Training Programs since the inception of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) , of 1973; and, WHEREAS, the Consortium is made up of the cities of Arlington., Euless, Fort Worth, Haltom City, and White Settlement; and, WHEREAS, each City Council of the Consortium member cities have approved a resolution indicating their desire to continue to be a member of the Fort Worth Consortium in FY 1983-84; and, WHEREAS, each said resolution supports the request to the Governor of the State of Texas to designate the Fort Worth Consortium as a Service Delivery Area for the Jobs Training Partnership Act programs; and, WHEREAS, each member City of the Consortium supports the designation of the City of Fort Worth as the grant recipient and the administrative unit for the Fort Worth Consortium Service Delivery Area; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fort Worth authorizes the Mayor of the City of Fort Worth to submit a request to the Governor of the State of Texas to designate the Fort Worth Consortium as a Service Delivery Area for the Jobs Training Partnership Act, on behalf of the member cities of the Consortium.
