X[r, A Resolution o _1 CELEBRATION OF OCTOBER 30, 1982, AS HALLOWEEN WHEREAS, Halloween is a fun time of the year when the youngsters of Fort Worth transform themselves into spooks, goblins, and other scary creatures for a night of fun; and, WHEREAS, the City strives each year to protect the children as they go to their parties or on their round of neighborhoods trick or treating by providing additional police patrols and other assistance; and, WHEREAS, this year some confusion is arising because the traditional day for celebrating Halloween, October 31, falls on Sunday; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Bob Bolen, Mayor of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, do hereby proclaim that: 1) Saturday, October 30, 1982, be celebrated as Halloween; 2) The Fort Worth Police Department provide added service on that night to insure the safety of our children; and, 3) The parents send their children to organized parties whenever possible rather than trick or treating door to door. cm of Fogg WOR=
