JOINT RESOLUTI04
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth is a home rule city lying
and being situated within the confines of the County of Tarrant,
State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless is a home rule city lying and
being situated within the confines of the County of Tarrant,
State of Texas; and
WHEREAS both cities have population of over 4,000
1�- inhabitants in a county of over 205,000 population;
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and the City of Euless
desire to reconstruct their boundary lines to facilitate the
development of property within their respective jurisdictions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth and the Council of the City of Euless that it
is mutually agreed by and between Fort Worth and Euless:
Section t .
That the following boundary realignments between Fort Worth
and Euless as hereafter described is in the best interests of
the property owners and inhabitants of both cities and that Fort
Worth and Euless will proceed with due diligence in adopting the
necessary annexation and disannexation ordinances adjusting
their respective corporate boundaries and all other proceedings
necessary to effectuate this agreement.
Section 2.
That Fort Worth and Euless do hereby covenant to protect,
preserve and defend the hereinafter described boundary
realignment.
Section 3.
That Fort Worth hereby agrees to discontinue from its
corporate boundary and to release to the City of Euless all its
jurisdictional rights it may have in and to all territories
embraced within the area described as Tract A and Tract B, said
tracts being described in attached exhibits A, B, and M, said
exhibits being incorporated as if set out in full herein.
Further, the City of Fort Worth agrees to discontinue and
disannex from its boundaries yet retain all extraterritoral
jurisdiction in a certain tract of land being described as Tract
Y, said tract being described and attached hereto in Exhibits Y
~� and M, said exhibit being incorporated as if set out in full
herein.
The said Tracts A, B, and Y constitute a contiguous area
at least 3 acres, adjoining the lines of the City of Fort Worth,
and unimproved.
Section 4.
That the City of Euless hereby agrees to discontinue from
its corporate boundary and to release to the City of Fort Worth
all of its jurisdictional rights it may have in and to all
territories embraced within the areas described as Tract C and
Tract D, said tracts being described in attached Exhibits C, D,
and M, said exhibits being incorporated as if set out in full
herein.
Further, the City of Euless agrees to discontinue and
disannex from its corporate boundaries but retain within its
extraterritorial jurisdiction a certain tract of land described
as Tract Z, said tract being described and attached hereto in
Exhibits Z and M, said exhibit being incorporated as if set out
in full herein.
The said tracts C, D, and Z constitute a contiguous area of
at least 3 acres, adjoining the lines of the City of Euless, and

unimproved.

Section 5.
That the City of Fort Worth and the City of Euless agree
that in the parcels of land bordered on the north by the south
right-of-way line of State Highway 183; on the east by the west
right-of-way line of American Boulevard; on the south by the
north property line of a tract of land in the Wm. G. Matthews
Survey, Abstract #1052, as conveyed to the Dallas-Fort Worth
Regional Airport Board in deed recorded in Volume 6710, Page
520; and on the west by the east right-of-way line of Huntington
Drive; the boundary line between the two cities shall be as
follows:
COMMENCING at a point being the intersection of the
easterly right-of-way line of Huntington Drive (a
variable width public R.O.W.) with the south
right-of-way line of State Highway No. 183 (a variable
width public R.O.W.) , said point also being the most
northerly northwest corner of a tract of land owned by
H. K. Huie, Jr. , as described by deed recorded in
Volume 4907, page 666, Tarrant County Deed Records;
THENCE S 89' 52149" E, along said south right-of-way
line and north line of said H.K. Huie, Jr. tract 80.79
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING being in the westerly
line of the proposed extension of F.A.A. Blvd.;
THENCE S 00' 07111" W, leaving said north line and
said south right-of-way line and along said westerly
line of the proposed extension of F.A.A. Blvd. , 415.00
feet to the beginning of a curve to the left whose
radius point bears S 89' 52149" E, 450.00 feet;
THENCE along said curve and continuing along said
westerly line through a central angle of 30' 00100" a
distance of 235.62 feet;

line 366.47 feet to the beginning of a curve to the
right whose radius point bears S 60' 07111" W, 950.00
feet;
THENCE along said curve and continuing along said
westerly line through a central angle of 15'43' a

THENCE S 14' 08156" E, continuing along said westerly
line, 295.22 feet to the beginning of a curve to the
left whose radius point bears N 75' 51104" E, 300.00
feet.
THENCE along said curve and continuing along said
westerly line through a central angle of 11' 09'55" a
distance of 58.46 feet to a point being in the
easterly line of the Huntington Place Addition, an
addition as recorded by plat recorded in volume
388/34, page 71 and Volume 388/38, page 41 , Tarrant
County Plat Records;

THENCE S 25° 18'49" E, leaving said westerly line and
along said easterly line 92.61 feet;
THENCE S 41° 03149" E, continuing along said easterly
line, 147.20 feet;
THENCE S 16" 39149" E, continuing along said east
line, 139.40 feet;
THENCE S 00° 25148" E, 687.09 feet to a point in the
south line of the aforementioned H.K. Huie, Jr. tract;
Section 6.
The City of Fort Worth and the City of Euless agree to do
all acts necessary and to pass all appropriate ordinances, to
enable the City of Fort Worth to annex Tracts C, D, and Y into
its corporate limits, and to enable the City of Euless to annex
Tracts A, B, and Z into its corporate limits as said tracts are
described in attached Exhibits A, B, C, D, Y, Z, and M. it is
contemplated that 1) the City of Fort Worth will pass on
ordinance disannexing Tracts A, B, and Y; 2) that the City of
Euless will by ordinance disannex tracts C, D, and Z; 3) that
the City of Fort Worth will release its extraterritorial
jurisdication rights to Tracts A and B to the City of Euless; 4)
that the City of Euless will pass an ordinance releasing its
extraterritorial jurisdiction rights to. Tracts C and D to the
City of Fort Worth; 5) that the City of Fort Worth will by
ordinance annex Tracts C, D, and Y; and 6) that the City of
�► Euless will by ordinance annex Tracts A, B, and Z.
Section 7.
That these terms and conditions set forth shall become
effective and binding on Fort Worth and Euless by the adoption
of this Joint Resolution in regular open City Council meetings
of both cities, and that this Joint Resolution, upon adoption by
both cities, shall be executed in several originals and shall be
spread in full on the Minutes of each city. A copy of this
Joint Resolution shall be executed by the Mayor and attested by
the City Secretary of each city.
