YMCA YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT DAY
WHEREAS, the YMCA, through Christian principles and precepts,
established a Youth in Government Day program to aid the democratic
process.
WHEREAS, participation in the Youth in Government Day program
helps the individual organize ideas both persuasively and precisely
and provides the tools for better communication and cooperation
through an exchange of ideas.
WHEREAS, youth participation in educational programs provides
the opportunity for a positive impact on society.
WHEREAS, youth participation stimulates self motivation to
advance fellowship, leadership and appreciation of new ideas into
civic endeavor.
WHEREAS, our democratic system of government is enhanced by
youth participation and interest.
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the City of Fort Worth .pro-
claim that this, the 21st day of April in the Nineteen Hundred
Eighty First Year of our Lord, to be Fort Worth YMCA Youth in Gov-
ernment Day, in hopes that the future will be blessed with the knowl-
edge and wisdom obtained by the youth participating therein.
