HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 774 RESOLUTI A resolution WHEREAS, the Stockyards Area Restoration Committee was appointed approximately ten years ago and charged with the responsibility of developing a tourist attraction around a working Stockyards; WHEREAS, the Committee has initiated many physical improvements in the area including restoration of the Northside Coliseum and Exchange Avenue, development of Marine Creek, Stockyards Boulevard and a traffic circulation plan; WHEREAS, other municipal accomplishments include a new fire station and police facilities presently under construction; WHEREAS, citizens have benefitted through increased employment oppor- tunities, employment and training programs and commercial development; WHEREAS, in response to the public commitment of approximately $5 million, private investment in the area now totals more than $25 million; WHEREAS, the Committee has demonstrated its commitment to the restoration project and has the desire to complete the orderly develop- ment of the Stockyards Area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Fort Worth City Council that the following members of the Stockyards Area Restoration Committee be reappointed for a period of three years: Gene Bales Stockyards Area Restoration Committee Ralph Bickley Stockyards Area Restoration Committee Mo Klingenberg Stockyards Area Restoration Committee Jack Shannon Stockyards Area Restoration Committee Joe Dulle North Sector Chamber of Commerce Bill Lane North Sector Chamber of Commerce Chuck Tegetoff North Fort Worth Business Association Gilbert Falcon North Fort Worth Business Association Gary Havard Northside Historical Society Delia Castro Mexican American Chamber of Commerce Homer Goldston Mexican American Chamber of Commerce CITY OF FORT WORTS
