HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 39059-A3AMENDMENT NUS STATE OF TEXAS § CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 39052 (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and CP&Y Inc., (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 39059 (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C G23748 on the 25th day of August, 2009, amended by City Secretary Contract No. 39059-A1 on the 191h day of January, 2010 and amended by City Secretary Contract No. 39059-A2 on the 24th day of March, 2010, and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Old Decatur Road from Bailey -Boswell to Old Boaz Road. WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated June 2, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total $24,980.00, 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $498,300, l3. 3. All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. We respectfully submit the following items for your consideration. Additional Services: Right-of-way (ROW) documents 1. The right-of-way documents for Parcel 1 shall be revised to eliminate purchasing the ROW necessary for future improvements along Bailey Boswell. The revised right-of-way documents will be prepared at a cost of $400. Additional Services: Roadway &Drainage Design 2. CP&Y will investigate and provide additional design details for the reconstruction and extension of the pedestrian sidewalk and ADA accessible ramps on the east side of the proposed roadway. CP&Y will prepare preliminary exhibits for coordination with the City of Saginaw. The City shall provide a cost estimate for the additional sidewalk improvements should it be deemed necessary for coordination purposes. CP&Y will prepare final roadway details including a plan view layout of the proposed sidewalk. Structural details for the sidewalk wall will be provided by the City for inclusion in the construction documents. 3. At the request of the City, CP&Y will move the proposed storm sewer trunk line from its current location in the median area to a location as directed by the City either locating the trunk line under the outside travel lane or behind the curb on the southbound side of Old Decatur Road. Compensation ROW Revision Sub -consultant fee (Gorrondona) $ 400 10% fee for sub -consultant $ 40 Sidewalk Design (see attachment) $12,370 Drainage Design (see attachment) $12,170 Grand Total additional fee: $240980 The MWBE participation goal established for this project is 26%. MWBE participation in this additional portion of the project will be $400. Per this amendment, total MWBE participation is 27.52%. We appreciate your review of our request.
