AN ORDNANCE MENDING THE BOUNDARY LIIdITS AND ANNEX- ING CEITAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED N A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD- ANCE ;TTR THE PitOVTSIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER. XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE I`i OiMAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a tract of land south of the City of Fort Worth and lying in the J. Collett, N. Atterbury, J. M. Mann, E. Rogers, S. Woody, M. Garrison, William L. Crow, and Blocks 1, 14, 15, 13 and 16, Shelby County School Land Surveys. BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line at its intersection with the southwesterly right of way line of the H. & T. C. R.R., in the J. Collett Survey; THENCE southeasterly along the southwesterly right of way line of the H. & T. C. R.R. to its intersection with Forest Hill Village City Limit Line; THENCE southeasterly along the westerly Forest Hill Village City Limit Line to its intersection with the north line of Joel East Road (County Road No. 2-123); THENCE west along the north line of Joel East Road (County Road No. 1123) to its intersection with the east right of way line of the I. & G. N. R.R.; THENCE northwesterly along the east line of the I. & G. N. R.R. to its intersection with the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line in the north line of the S. Woody Survey; THENCE along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line; East 930 varas, and north 6851 varas, and west 371 varas, and north 2661 varas, and east 719 varas, and north 745 varas, and east 684 varas to the place of beginning and containing approximately 2.2 square miles. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
