Henry Paul Mailloux was born October 12, 1947, at Tucson,
Arizona. He attended school at Topeka, Kansas, and at Atwater,
California, and graduated from Atwater High School in 1967.
Mr. Mailloux's interest in his fellowman led him into police
work and he became a trainee in the Fort Worth Police Department
August 5, 1968, and a police patrolman January 11, 1969. While
working as a policeman he continued his studies that he might better
serve the City of Fort Worth and its citizens.
On Saturday morning November 29, 1975, Officer Mailloux met
his death in an attempt to apprehend an armed robbery suspect. He
was a courageous and fearless public servant who had received commen-
dation for his work. His death leaves an unfillable vacancy in the
Police Department of the City of Fort Worth. Fort Worth has lost a
most valuable municipal employee, a police officer who was highly
respected by his co-workers and by all who knew him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
That the City Council extend its utmost sympathy to his widow,
Mrs. Norma Lee Mailloux, his daughter, Pam, and to other members of
his family in their great loss.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this memorial be spread upon the
minutes of the City Council and that a copy be furnished the family
of Officer Mailloux.
