R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, a committee for the purpose of inquiring into the conduct and
affairs of the Auto Theft Division of the Police Department was established by the
City Council of the City of Fort Worth on June 23, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, Willard Barr, Mrs. Walter Barbour, Jud Cramer, Atwood McDonald, and
Milton Mehl accepted appointment to this special investigation committee; and,
WHEREAS, the final report of the committee was presented to the Fort Worth
City Council on January 28, 1976; and,
WHEREAS, during the past eight months, the committee contributed innumerable
hours to conducting public meetings, hearing testimony, reviewing facts presented to
it, and preparing a report of findings, conclusions, and recommendations; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Fort Worth to
commend the members of this committee for the.conscientious and diligent execution
of their charge: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
That sincere thanks ,and appreciation be expressed to Willard Barr, as
Chairman, Mrs. Walter Barbour, Jud Cramer, Atwood McDonald, and Milton Mehl for
their interest, commitment, and devotion to the civic affairs of our city and its
citizens.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be spread upon the minutes
of the City Council and that a copy be furnished to each member of the special inves—
tigation committee.
