Lucero Drive and Mojave Trail
4/6/%4 PZ-98
& E. Cloer, General Contractor, Inc., and the Fort Worth Independent School
District have requested the, Closing of Cortez Drive between Lucero Drive and
Mojave Trail. The School District is trading a strip of land approximately
L50 feet along the south side of Lucero Drive in Block 35, Western Hills
Section No. 3, to E. 0 Cloer in exchange for a tract between Cortez Drive
and Texas Electric Service Company property east of Cortez Drive. In order
tO Obtain maxiumm benefit from the school property, it is desirable that
Cortez Drive be closed so that all school property will be one continuous
trait:® A plat showing the area is attached.
The private utility companies have no objection to the closing. Based on a
preliminary platting of the area which shows both Lucero Drive and Mojave
Trail extended east across the Texas Electric Serivce Company property to
connect with future streets that provide good traffic circulation in the
area, the Public Works, Water, Traffic Engineering and Planning Departments
do not object to the proposed street closing,
The City Plan Commission reviewed the proposed street closing on March 11,
1964 and recommended that City Council adopt an ordinance vacating Cortez
Drive as requested,
