HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 39968-A3 (2)AMENDMENT NO. 3 THE STATE OF TEXAS § CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 319 (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and RJN Group Inc., (Consultant) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 39968, (the Contract) which was executed by the City Manager on the 17"' day of March, 2010; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves professional services for the following project: Temporary Wastewater Flow Metering for Wholesale Customer Meter Validation WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to said Contract to include an amended scope of work and revised maximum fee. NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: Article I of the Contract is amended to include additional temporary metering of the Tarrant County Water Supply Corporation sanitary sewer line, as well as additional validation metering of the Richland Hills South wholesale customer meter station. Article II of the contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to the Consultant for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the city for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $37,985.00. All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. OFFICIAL RECORD CITY SECRETARY FT. Engineering Manager Fort Worth Water Department 1511 l l m Avenue Fort Worth, Te,cas 76102 RE: Amendment No. 3—Wholesale Wastewater Meter Station Validation Testing Dear Mr. Harder: www. in.com RJN Group Inc appreciates the opportunity to provide this scope and amendment cost for the con#inuation of theee (3) temporary flow meters for a thirty day period. The flow meters will be maintained in the Tarrant County Water Supply Corporation sewer line to validate the accuracy of the Richland Hills and North chland Hills flow meters. The scope of services is as follows. Ri Meetins?s —The Engineer will attend periodic meeting with the Fort Worth Water Department and City Of Richland Hill representatives to discuss the results of the temporary monitoring. Data Collection— It is anticipated that each flow meter will be maintained for a period of thirty days. Weekly site visits will be performed during the monitoring period. A velocity profile will also be obtained during each calibration by measuring the instantaneous velocity at pre -defined depths, and then integrated to derive an average for comparison to the meters calculated average velocity. Data Review The engineers will use various analytical tools, such as hydrographs and scattergraphs to verify the accuracy and precision of the equipment. A summary of the average flows for each site will be provided at various intervals of the Project. Compensation —Compensation for providing these services will be based upon the following rate table.
