AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL GIFTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$28,805 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
TRANSFERING SAID FUNDS TO THE GENERAL FUND TO FUND
EQUIPMENT PURCHASES FOR VARIOUS FIRE STATIONS; MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2006-
2007 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Special Gifts Fund in the amount of $28,805 from available funds for the
purpose of funding equipment purchases for various fire stations.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or
judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this
ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 17142 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance
are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said
conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Authorize Acceptance of@OAnonymous Donation of $28.805 to the Fire Department, Authorize
Purchase of Equipment for Various Fire Stations and Adopt Appropriation Ordinances
bis recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the City Manager to accept a monetary donation in the amount of $28,805 from an anonymous
donor;
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Special Gifts Fund bv$28'DO5 from available funds;
3. Authorize the transfer of$28.0O5 from the Special Gift Fund to the General Fund;
4. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing oati0ohad receipts and
appropriations in the General Fund bv$28,8O5 from available funds; and
5. Authorize the purchase of various equipment as specified in the grant disbursement guidelines in the
amount of$28.8O5.
/\ charitable foundation that wishes to remain anonymous has generously donated $28.805 to the Fire
Department to fund equipment needs. The donated funds will be used to purchase equipment for use at
various Fine Stations as designated in the guidelines for disbursement of the grant. The list of equipment
proposed tobe purchased with the donated funds io attached to the K8/&C. The list includes operational and
training equipment.
FISCAL INFORIVIATIONXIERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached supplemental appropriation ordinanoeo, funds will be available in the current operating budget as
appropriated, of the General Fund.
