FIRST AMENDMENT TO CITY SECRETARY
CONTRACT NO. 40767
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to City Secretary Contract No. 40767 (hereinafter "Amendment") is
entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth ("City"), a home -rule municipality in the State of
Texas, acting through Fernando Costa, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and Water
Management Inc., ("Consultant"), by and through Maq43ewj6Tfou1CkVr'lj,'3 U�VrUfle� ,

WHEREAS, the City and Consultant have entered into that certain agreement identified as City
Secretary Contract No. 40767 ("Contract") to provide consulting service for commercial, industrial
and institutional water conservation measures in an amount not to exceed $200,000; and
WHEREAS, tluough Purchase order #12-00073293 the City extended this contract for a term of
September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the City would like include the services of an irrigation and landscape audit for it
Sycamore Creek Golf Course located at 401 Martin Luther King Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76104;
and
WHEREAS, the parties agree that all other conditions, terms and pricing shall remain the same as
stated in City Secretary Contract No. 40767.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and inconsideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, and other
good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged and
confessed, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Scone of Services. Article 1 shall be amended to add Exhibit A2 to the Contract.
2. Compensation. The Not -to -Exceed amount of the Contract shall be increased
by $9,760.
3. Due Date. Consultant shall provide its results and report no later than November 16,
2012.

4. Miscellaneous. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to amend or modify the
Contract, except as expressly set forth herein. Any defined term used herein, but not
defined herein, shall have that meaning set forth in the Contract.

Scope of Work
The investment grade irrigation audit and site evaluation of landscape for the golf course
would include an assessment of each landscaped area, of all irrigation components, heads,
meters, and controls as well as looking at distribution uniformity and scheduling. The audit
would provide various recommendations with associated savings, turnkey pricing and simple
payback for each measure.
Program Goals:
General:
■ Water Meters) and back flow preventer(s) will be identified and
evaluated
■ Consumption history will be determined and evaluated for a period of
up to 5 years
■ Water quality assessment
■ Evaluation of maintenance practices
■ Water use inside of the clubhouse will be evaluated
Irrigation:
■ Square footage of each zone will be determined by site survey of the area.
■ Each controller will be evaluated to determine manufacture, functionality, and
current operating parameters.
■ Each zone will be activated, heads counted, and distribution uniformity noted.
■ Infiltration rates will be determined.
■ Precipitation and ET rates will be determined
■ Cost for repairs and upgrades will be identified
■ New operating parameters will be suggested and savings quantified
Landscape:
■ Evaluate the different turf types represented on the course.
■ Photograph and evaluate Lite health of Lite plant materials and overall
appearance of the landscape from a design/aesthetic perspective.
■ Evaluate current maintenance issues/ practices
■ Provide a report with an eye toward reducing maintenance costs both short
anA long term. The reports will include captioned photos and
recommendations for improving the overall health of existing plants, suggest

plants for removal (e.g. - plant hazards- tree canopies in electrical wires,
current or potential damage to facilities due to plant location); water damage
to buildings, masonry planters and parking lots.
Sustainable Opportunities:
■ Investigate the possibility of utilizing the natural spring found on the north
side of the golf course.
■ Investigate other opportunities around the site for rainwater harvesting, rain
gardens, tree pits and such.
■ Provide a list of water conservation measures along with cost
