IN THE W. D. CONNER SURVEY BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND
CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EF-
FECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portions of Holtzer Drive
be and the same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently
vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever, save and except that easements are re-
served for any and all existing utilities:
A parcel of land containing 4040.0 square
feet and being a portion of a 100 foot wide strip
of land in the W. D. Conner Survey as conveyed to
the City of Fort Worth and recorded in Vol. 938,
page 424, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, which parcel of land is more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of a 0.5
acre tract of land out of the Baker Floral Company
tract in the W. D. Conner Survey as conveyed to
Marshall T. Robinson and recorded in Vol. 3460, page
649, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas,
said point being on the north line of Holtzer Drive
and the southeast corner of Block 4, Michael Hughes
Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth;
THENCE north 821 22' east along the north line
of Holtzer Drive a distance of 101.0 feet to a
point;
THENCE south 1° 13' east a distance of 40.25
feet;
THENCE south 820 22' west along the proposed
north line of Holtzer Drive a distance of 101.0 feet
to a point;
THENCE north 1 13' west a distance of 40.25
feet to the place of beginning, and containing 4040.0
square feet of land.
and
A parcel of land containing 6244.34 square
feet and being a portion of a 100 foot wide strip
of land in the W. D. Conner Survey as conveyed
to the City of Fort Worth and recorded in Vol.
941, page 17, of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, which parcel of land is more particu-
larly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said
City of Fort Worth tract, said corner being the
southeast corner of the south portion of Block 4,
Michael Hughes Estates, an addition to the City
of Fort Worth;
THENCE south l' 13' east a distance of 40.25
feet to a point on the new north line of Holtzer
Drive as shown on File No. 13-H-39 on record in the
Engineering Division, Public Works Dept., City of
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE south 86' 21' west along said new north
line a distance of 183.6 feet to a point;
THENCE north 10 13' west a distance of 27.47
feet to the southwest corner of Block 4 of said
Michael Hughes Estates;
THENCE north 820 22' east a distance of 184.6
feet to the place of beginning, and containing
6244.34 square feet of land.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re-
vert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Robinson Construction Co. and C. P. Hentzen, Inc., owners of Tract 3-F of
W. D. Conner Survey and Lot B, Block 4, Michael Hughes Estates, have
requested the City to vacate portions of Holtzer Drive adjoining their pro-
perty. The areas requested to be vacated are identified as Parcels No. 2
and 3 and described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 2
North 40.25 feet of right-of-way of Holtzer Drive which abuts Tract
3-F, W. D. Conner Survey
PARCEL NO. 3
North right-of-way of Holtzer Drive which abuts Lot B, Block 4,
Michael Hughes Estates. This right-of-way being 40.25 feet in
width at the east line of Lot B and 27.47 feet in width at the
west line of Lot B.
This vacation will leave sufficient right-of-way in the subject block and the
portion to be vacated is surplus to the present assessment paving project.
The subject right-of-way was acquired by dedication and City departments have
determined that it is not necessary for future development of this street.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have voiced no objection to this vacation, provided the applicants plat the
vacated right-of-way with their adjoining property and retain the vacated
right-of-way as an easement for existing utilities.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way, subject to the conditions
recommended above by the City departments and private utility companies. The
applicants have submitted a replat which incorporates the conditions re-
quested by the City Plan Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-
way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
