AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING T- 1RITORY
FROM T� THIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING
A SAVINGS CLAUS-3; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF TTIE CITY OF F02T WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth
and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract about 12 miles southwest from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the
City of Fort Worth in the north right -of -way line of Benbrook
Cardinal Chaplin Road (County Road No. 1040), 80 feet west from
the east line of the L. B. Creswell Survey produced north;
THENCE south parallel to and 80 feet west from the east line
of the L. B. Creswell Survey produced north, parallel to and 80
feet west from the east line of the L. B. Creswell Survey, and
parallel to and 80 feet west from east line of the L. B. Creswell
Survey produced south, to a point 50 feet south from the middle of
:Marys Creek;
THENCE easterly along a line parallel to and 50 feet south from
the middle of Marys Creek, to a point 50 feet west from the west line
of the D. P. Dean Tract in the T. G. Zachery and J. F. Elliott Surveys;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the
west line of the D. P. Dean Tract and along a line parallel to and
50 feet west from the west line of the D. P. Dean Tract produced
south 50 feet, to a point;
THENCE southeasterly along a line parallel to 50 feet south
T,m sterly from the southerly line of the D. P. Dean Tract to a point
50 feet west from the east line of the J. F. Elliott Survey;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the
east line of the J. F. Elliott Survey, to a point 50 feet north from
the north line of the H. Dickson Survey;
THENCE west along a line parallel to and 50 feet north from the
north line of the H. Dickson Survey, and parallel to and 50 feet
north from the north line of the H. Dickson Survey produced west 50
feet to a point.
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the
west line of the H. D1-ckson Survey, to a point 50 feet north from
the north line of the Hrs. of Hays Covington Survey;
THENCv, west along a line parallel to and 50 feet north from the
north line of the Hrs. of Hays Covington -urvey and along the north
line of the Hrs. of nays Covington Survey produced west 50 feet to
a point;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from
the west line of the Hrs- of Hays Covington survey to a point
50 feet north from the north line of the J. F. Elliott Survey;
THENCE west along a line parallel to and 50 feet north from
the north line of the J. F. Elliott Survey and along a line parallel
to and 50 feet north from the north line of the J. F. Elliott Survey
produced west 50 feet to a point;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the
west line of the J. F. Elliott Survey to a point 50 feet north from
the south line of the J. Watson Survey;
THENCE west along a line parallel to and 50 feet north from the
south line of the J. Watson Survey to a point 50 feet east from the
west line of the J. Watson Survey;
THENCE north along a line parallel to and 50 feet east from the
west line of the J. Watson Survey to a point 50 feet north from the
north line of the E. Taylor Survey produced east;
THENCE west along a line, parallel to and 50 feet north from
the north line of the E. Taylor produced east and parallel to and
50 feet north from: the north line of the E. Taylor Survey, to a
point 50 feet west from the west line of the D. H. Dickson Survey,
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the

the west line of the F. S. Mervin Survey;
THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the

produced south 50 feet to a point;

THENCE north along a line parallel to and 50 feet east from the

and W. J. Jackson Surveys to a point 50 feet south from the north line
of the J. Spillman Survey;
THENCE east along a line parallel to and 50 feet south from the

THENCE south along a line parallel to and 50 feet west from the

present city limit line of the City of Benbrook produced west;

THENCE in a southeasterly direction along a curve having a
radius of 1675.35 feet, a distance of 976.53 feet measured from
the southeasterly right -o£ -way line of County Road No. 1089;
THENCE north 88 degrees 28 minutes east 180.66 feet to a point;
THENCE in a northerly direction along a curve having a radius
of 8155. feet, to its intersection with the south line of the B.W.
Gunn Survery produced west;
THENCE east along the south line of the B. W. Gunn Survey
produced west, to and along the south line of the B *W, Gunn Survey,
to the northeast corner of the N.B. Risk Survey;

most easterly southeast corner;

Surveys to the northeast corner of the J. Van Lent Survey;
THENCE west along the north line of the J. Van Lent Survey, to

intersection with a south line of the J. F. Heath Survey;
THENCE west north, west, south, west, and north along the lines of
the J. F. Heath Survey to the northeast corner of the W.W. Dooley
Survey;
THENCE west along the north line of the W.W. Doo1Qy Survey to the
southeast corner of the R. A. Bessent Survey;
THENCE north along the east line of the R. A. Bessent Survey, to
its intersection with the south line of the C. Johnson Survey produced
east;
THENCE west along the south line of the C. Johnson Survey produced
east, to and along the south line of the C. Johnson Survey and along
the south lines of the W.W. Warnell, J. Sharp and along the most northerly
south line of the J. 0. Quinn Survey to the most northerly interior south-
east corner of the J. 0. Quinn Survey;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction to the southeast corner of the
J. P. Smith Survey;
THENCE west along the south lines of the J. P. Smith, G. H. & H. RR.
Co. and D. T. Finley Surveys; to its intersectio with the westerly right -
of -way line of U. S. Highway No. 377;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along the westerly right- of-way line
of '?. S. highway No. 377, to its intersection with the north right -o£ -way
line of State Farm -to- Market 3oad No. 2376;
THENCE northwesterly along the northerly right -o£ -way line of State
Farm -to- Market Road No. 2376 with its meanders, to its intersection with
the west line of Tarrant County, Texas
THENCE north along the west line of Tarrant County, Texas, to its
intersection with the south right-of-way line of County ?toad No. 1021;
THENCE easterly along the south right -of -way line of County Road No.
1021 with its meanders to its intersection with the west line of the D.H.
Dickson Survey;
THENCE north along the west line of the D.H. Dickson Survey to
its northwest corner;
THENCE east along the north line of the D. H. Dickson Survey, to
the southwest corner of the McKinney and Williams Survey;
TI'B'TCE north east and north along the lines of the McKinney and
Williams Survey to its northwest corner;
THENCE continuing north along the easterly west line of the McKinney
and Williams Surveys produced north to its intersection with the south
line of the T.G. Zachary Survey;
THENCE west along the south line of the T.G. Zachary Survey to its
southwest corner;
THENCE north along the west line of the T.G. Zachary Survey to its
southwest corner;
THENCE north along the west line of the T.G. Zachary Survey, to its
northwest corner, and continuing north along said line produced to its
intersection with the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 1040;
THENCE east along the north right -of -way line of County Road No.
1040 to the place of beginning and containing approximately 21.77
square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
Nos. 3767, h882 and 3846, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as
to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith
this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
if any section, subsecti_o:, or provision of th ;.s ordinance shall be held
invalid or unconstitutional by a court of coo�etent jurisdiction, the oortion
so geld to be invalid or unconstitutional small not affect any other part of
the ordinance, which shall remain in fell force and e`'fe::t.

effect from and after its passage and it is so ordained.
