AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM bdITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT : ^i'ORTH: Section 1, That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land lying approximately ten miles north of the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a corner of the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth in the west right -of -way line of County Road No. 4107, at its intersection with the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4123; THENCE north along the west right -of -way line of County Road No. 4107 to its intersection with the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 4040; THENCE east along the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 4040 to its intersection with the northeasterly right -of -way line of U. S. Highways 81 and 287; THENCE southeasterly along the northeasterly right- of -tivay line of U. S. Highw ys 81 and 287 to a point 50 feet north of the present city limit line of Saginaw; THENCE east along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to the present northern -most boundary of Saginaw produced east to a point 50 feet east of the northeasterly right-of-way line of U. S. Highways 81 and 287; THENCE southeasterly along a line 50 feet e�7.st of and parallel to the northeasterly right-of-way line of U. S. Highways 81 and 287 and the present city limit line of Saginaw and the City of Fort [,Torth to a point 50 feet north of the north line of the J. H. Biles Survey; THENCE east and south along a line 50 feet north and east of and parallel to the north and east lines of the J. H. Biles Survey, the present city limit line of Saginaw and the City of Fort ;forth, to a point 50 feet north of the north ri &ht -of -way line of County Road No. 4020; THENCE east along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 4020 and of the present city limit line of Saginaw, Blue :ound, and the City of Fort Worth, to a point 50 feet east of the most northerly east present city limit line of blue isound produced north; THENCE south along a line 50 feet east of and parallel to the most northerly east present city limit line of Flue Round produced north to its intersection with the north right -of -way line of County hoad No. 4020; THENCE east along the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 4020 and east and north along the north and west right -of -way line of County Road No. 4048 to its intersection with the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4106; TIJENCE west along the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4106, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east right -o£ -way line of County Road No. 4105; THENCE south, west, and south along the east, south, and east right -of -way line of County Road No. 4105, the present City limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4005; THENCE west along the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4005, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east line of the J. Highland Survey produced south; THENCE north along the east line of the J. Highland Survey produced south and the east line of the J. Highland Survey, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to the northeast corner of the J. Highland Survey, THENCE west along the north lines of the J. Highland, M.E.P. & P. R.R. Co., and G.A. Criner Surveys, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to the intersection with the northeasterly, right -of -way line of U. S. Highways 81 and 287; THENCE southeasterly along the northeasterly right-of-way line of U. S. Highways 81 and 287, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the north line of the I. & C.N. R. R. Co. Survey; THENCE west along the north lines of the I. 8 G.N. RR. Co., J.P. Smith, and Benjamin Thomas Surveys, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth to the southwest corner of the G. A. Criner Survey; THENCE south and west along the lines of the RI.E.r. & F. RR. Co. Survey, the present city limit line of the City of Fort 'north, to the northeast corner of the T. & P. RR. Company Survey; THENCE south and southwest along the lines of the T. & P. RR. Co. Survey, the present city limit line of the City of Fort I•dorth, to the northeast corner of the T. Hicks Survey; THENCE south along the east line of the T. Hicks Survey and south, east, south, west, and south along the west line of the Benjamin Thomas Survey, the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of State Farm- to- iiarket Road No. 1220; THENCE southerly along the east right -of -way line of State Farm -to- I,arket Road No. 1220, the present city limit line of the City of fort •;orth, to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4123; `i'HENCE east along the south right -of -way line of County Road No. 4123, the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, to the place of beginning and containing approximately 29.26 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos. 3867 and 4295, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the City of Fort vJorth. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
