AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Section 1. That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about five miles north of the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, lying in and including all or parts of the John Bursey, David Odum, W. Baker, David Cook, A. Beard, and M. Johnson Surveys, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the middle of Little Fossil Creek, at its intersection with the south line of the A. Beard Survey; THENCE west along the south line of the A. Beard Survey and continuing along said line produced west to a point 50 feet east of the easterly right - of-way line of the F.W. & D. R.R.; THENCE northwesterly along a line 50 feet east of and parallel to the easterly right -of -way line of the F. W. & D. R.R., the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth and of Saginaw, to a point 50 feet east of the east right -of -way line of State Farm to Market Highway No. 156; THENCE north along a line 50 feet east of and parallel to the east right -of -way line of State Farm to Market Highway No. 156, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth and of Saginaw, to a point 50 feet south of County Road No. 4001; THENCE east along a line 50 feet south of and parallel to the south right - of-way line of County Road No. 4001 to its intersection with the middle of Little Fossil Creek; THENCE northwesterly, up the middle of Little Fossil Creek, to its intersection with the north right -of -way line of County Road No. 4001; THENCE east along the north right-of -way line of County Road No. 4001 and County Road No. 4001 produced east to its intersection with the east right -of -way line of Sylvania Avenue (County Road No. 3060) produced north; THENCE south along the east right -of -way line of County Road No. 3060 produced north and of County Road No. 3060 to its inter- section with the middle of Little Fossil Creek; THENCE southeasterly, down the middle of Little Fossil Creek, to the point of beginning and containing approximately 3.357 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordi- nance No. 3952 and 4295, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the City of Fort Worth. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained. Passed and adopted this rday of , 1963.
