HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3308ORDINANCE i1T0® AN CEDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CER- TAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRO- VIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVE2TISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS 01 SECTION 60, CHAPTER XXVIII OF TIT, CITY CFA-qTER; f32M PRESCRIB- 115 AV EFFECTIVE DATE< BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUN.,CIL OF THE CITY OF FORT NORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That -the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort North is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort North, said territory being situated in Tariant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line at the northeast corner of Meadowbrook Drive and Sandy Lane; Thence east along the north line of (Meadowbrook Drive ex- tended) County Road No. 2015 to the west line of Cooke Lane County Road No. 2041; Thence north along Cooke Lane County Road No. 2041 to the north line of HeadDwbrook Drive County Road No. 2015; Thence east, north and east along the west, north and west line of Meadowbrook Drive County Road No. 2015 to a point in the west line of the J. Smith Survey; Thence north along the west line of the J. Smith Survey to its northwest corner, said point being the southwest corner of the W. G. Elkins Survey; Thence east along the south line of the W. G. Elkins Survey and along the south line of the J. L. Hellum Survey to the southeast corner of the J. L. Hellum Survey; Thence north along the east line of the J. L. Hellum. Survey to its northeast corner; Thence west along the north line of the J. L. Hellum Sur- vey to the center of the Trinity River; Thence up said river with its meanderings to a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line in the east line of the Randle Mill-Hurst Precinct Line Road County Road No. 3035; Thence in a southerly, westerly and easterly direction along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line to the place of beginning, and containing approximately seven square miles of land. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 408 Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so or- dained.
