HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 43116 (2)CII1TY @tPTARY rSM13W'©T N00 Wraparound Victim Legal Assistance Network Demonstration Project Memorandum of Understanding WHEREAS, One Safe Place, Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and the City of Fort Worth, by and through the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) have come together to collaborate and to make an application for FY 2012 Wraparound Victim Legal Assistance Network Demonstration Project grant; and WHEREAS, the partners listed below have agreed to enter into a collaborative agreement in which One Safe Place will be the lead agency and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and the other agencies will be partners in this application; and WHERFAS, the partners herein desire to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) setting forth the services to be provided by the collaborative; and WHEREAS, the application prepared and approved by the collaborative through its partners is to be submitted to the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJF), and Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) on or before April 19, 2012. Roles and Responsibilities NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed by and between the partners as follows: 1) One Safe Place through this grant submission, will employ a project coordinator to work with all partner agencies to develop and implement a comprehensive, wraparound, pro bono legal assistance network. 2) FWPD will participate in a professional survey conducted by a researcher. 3) FWPD will provide a representative from the organization to participate in regular committee meetings and the learning community exchange teams. 4) FWPD, if applicable, will identify and contact victims for consent to participate in assessment. 5) If the grant is awarded, the partner agencies will execute a more detailed agreement defining the roles and responsibilities of each agency, including the measurable responsibilities of each agency. Timeline The roles and responsibilities described above are contingent on One Safe Place receiving funds requested for the project described in the DOJ grant application.
