Authorize the use of gas lease revenue in the amount of $12,000.00 to pay for title policies for the acquisition of four residential rural properties for the Alliance Noise Mitigation Program; 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the amount of $12,000.00 in the Airports Gas Lease Project Fund from available funds; 3. Authorize the transfer of funds from the Airports Gas Lease Project Fund to the Municipal Airports Fund in the amount of $12,000.00; and 4. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Municipal Airports Fund in the amount of $12,000.00 from available funds. DISCUSSION: On March 6, 2012 (M&C C 25482) the City Council authorized the application for and acceptance of a grant, if awarded, from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to acquire land in accordance with the Part 150 Noise Mitigation Plan for Fort Worth Alliance Airport. It is the policy of the City of Fort Worth (City) to purchase title policies when acquiring properties; however FAA grant funds cannot be used to pay for title policies. These funds will enable O.R. Colan, the firm hired to perform real estate consulting services for the Alliance Noise Mitigation Project, to order title policies for the four residential properties that the City will be acquiring for the purpose of Noise Mitigation. Fort Worth Alliance Airport is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
