Project Location: 2200 Blk. Edgecliff Rd & BNSF railroad grade crossing.
Project Goal: Create a railroad quiet zone through joint efforts by the Town of Edgecliff Village
and the City of Fort Worth.
The City of Fort Worth, working in conjunction with the Town of Edgecliff Village's efforts to
provide a quiet zone at the above referenced crossing, will procure all necessary traffic control
devices (signs, markings and channelization devices), install materials, and upon completion,
invoice Edgecliff Village one half of the cost for the materials and labor expenses (total project
expense estimate is $8000.00).
The Town of Edgecliff Village has agreed to submit all required documentation to the railroad
companies and other entities involved with said project. The City of Fort Worth will certify that
all quiet zone devices are installed as necessary to achieve a quiet zone as required by the
Federal Railroad Administration.
Furthermore if mutually agreed by each city Edgecliff Village will reimburse the City of Fort
Worth for future maintenance of the traffic control devices at the quiet zone.
