Kayser, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 8:33 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager- David Cooke, City Manager a. Changes to the City Council Agenda M&Cs 20-0552 through 20-0561 (PIDs) would be heard at one time. Zoning Docket ZC-20-090 requires a super majority vote in favor to approve. b. Upcoming and Recent Events The meetings of the AllianceAirport Authority, Inc., Central City Local Development Corporation, and Fort Worth Local Development Corporation are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., and the Crime Control Prevention District meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. All meetings will be held in the Council Chamber. Current Agenda Items - City Council Members Mayor Pro tem Jordan stated that Exhibit B of M&C 20-0825 defining the boundaries of the Walsh PID was the description for Walton PID. He requested a correction to the Exhibit. He also stated that he would be recusing himself from voting on M&C 20-0507. Council Members Byrd, Moon, Shingleton, Allen Gray and Zadeh requested and received clarification on Zoning Docket ZC-20-090. 3. Responses to Items Continued from a Previous Meeting M&C 20-0475 (CD 3) Conduct Public Hearing to Consider Variance from Section 4-4 of the City Code to Allow Beer and Wine Sales for On-Premise Consumption at Corky's Corner Located at 3601 Williams Road (Continued from a Previous Meeting) (PUBLIC HEARING - a. M&C 20-0507 (ALL) Authorize Application for, and Acceptance of, if Awarded, the DNA Capacity Enhancement for Backlog Reduction Program Grant Fiscal Year 2020 from the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance in the Amount of $464,386.00, Authorize Execution of a Grant Agreement with the United States Department of Justice, and Adopt Appropriation Ordinance (Continued from a Previous Meeting) Moving forward. ZC-20-066 (CD3) Andrea Fell, 3601 Williams Road; From: PD 684 Planned Development/Specific Use for all uses in "E" Neighborhood Commercial plus continued use of bar, restricted to beer and wine sales. Any new improvements or construction will require a site plan; site plan waived/NASJRB Overlay To: Amend PD 684 to increase the square footage of building; site plan included/NASJRB Overlay 0.63 acres (Recommended for Approval by the Zoning Commission) (Continued from a Previous Meeting) Moving forward. 4. Update Related to COVID-19 Response and Recovery -COVID-19 Updates and Data- Chief Jim Davis,Fire and Brandon Bennett, Code Compliance Mr. Brandon Bennett, Code Compliance Department, and Chief Jim Davis, Fire Department, provided an update on COVID-19 data for City and Tarrant County. City of Fort Worth Page 3 Printed on 812112020 CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION MEETING TUESDAY,AUGUST 18,2020 Page 4 of 4 -Assistance to Non-Profit Organizations-Victor Turner,Housing& Neighborhood Services Mr. Victor Turner, Housing and Neighborhood Services briefed Council on the assistance provided to non-profit organizations. -Preserve the Fort-Robert Sturns,Economic Development Mr. Robert Sturns, Economic Development Department, provided an overview of Phase 1 of Preserve the Fort Grant Program. $5.OM of allocated CARES Act funding will be utilized and to establish Phase II. These items will be on the Council's August 25, 2020, Council agenda. 5. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports There were no requests for future agenda items.
