Kayser, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25. 2020, in City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager- David Cooke, City Manager a. Changes to the City Council Agenda M&C 20-0586 (tax abatement) will be continued until October 20, 2020. M&Cs 20-0570 - 20-0579 (PIDs) will be heard together. Catherine Perry will make the staff presentation. Two Resolutions were added to the agenda, related to the declaration of a local disaster for Hurricane Laura and the continuation of the face mask requirement. Current Agenda Items - City Council Members The Resolution on the second phase of"Preserve the Fort" is being amended to include grants to performing arts non-profits. Requires a super majority in favor to change the zoning. 4. Presentation on Tarrant County 911's Financial Health-Chief Jim Davis, Fire and Doug Hooten, MedStar 911 5. Briefing on DFW COVID-19 Prevalence Study- Fernando Costa, City Manager's Office and Brandon Bennett, Code Compliance 6. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Council Member Bivens- update on panhandling. Council Member Byrd- CARES Act funding update and Hot Spot delivery for schools and can we assist. Mayor Price - Update on 50 and Broadband.
