With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the regular
session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25,
2020, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort
Worth, Texas.

RESOLUTIONS
1. 20-0912 A Resolution Approving Phase I1 of the "Preserve the Fort" Business
Stabilization Program and Execution of an Amendment to an Agreement with United
Way of Tarrant County to Assist in Management of the Program
Motion: Council Member Byrd made a motion, seconded by Council Member
Shingleton, to replace Resolution No. 5268-08-2020 which approves Phase
II of the "Preserve the Fort" business stabilization program and the
execution of an amendment to an agreement with United Way of Tarrant
County to assist in management of the program with an amended
Resolution and Exhibit to the Resolution to include language allowing grants
up to $100,000.00 to be made to performing arts non-profit organizations.
2. 20-0922 A Resolution for Continuation of Declaration of Local Disaster City of Fort
Worth, Texas in Response to Hurricane Laura
Motion: Council Member Moon made a motion, seconded by Council Member
Byrd, that Resolution No. 5265-08-2020 be adopted. Motion passed 9-0.
3. 20-0921 A Resolution to Continue the Mayor's August 2, 2020 Executive Order
Regarding Face Coverings to December 1, 2020
Motion: Mayor Pro tem Jordan made a motion, seconded by Council Member
Zadeh, that Resolution No. 5266-08-2020 be adopted. Motion passed 8-1,
Council Member Moon casting the dissenting vote.

Motion: Council Member Zadeh made a motion, seconded by Council Member

Mayor Price, Mayor Pro tern Jordan, and Council Members Flores, Byrd,
Moon, and Shingleton casting the dissenting votes.
There being no one else present desiring to be heard in connection with the recommended
changes and amendments pertaining Zoning Ordinance No. 21653-02-2015 for the
above-listed cases, Council Member Zadeh made a motion, seconded by Council
Member Bivens, that the hearing be closed. Motion passed 9-0.

Persons and Households with COVID-Related Needs; and Certify that
