With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth
City Council Work Session to order at 3:01 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, in City
Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort
Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager- David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
City Manager Cooke will withdraw M&Cs 20-799 and 20-0814 for a speaker. M&C
20-0805 will be continued to November 10, 2020.

b. Upcoming and Recent Events
City Manager Cooke announced that Council will not meet again until November 10,
2020.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
Assistant City Manager Dana Burghdoff introduced Faye Beaulieu, United Way Senior
VP, to kick off the 2020 United Way campaign.
Assistant City Manager Fernando Costa introduced Lawrence Thompson as the
Education Strategies Manager.
Victor Turner,Neighborhood Services, announced that the City's EnVision Center
was recognized as a Google Partner of the month. Suzanne Richards, Neighborhood
Services was recognized.

Kasey Pipes with Corley Pipes Consulting provided a briefing on the CIty of Fort
Worth's 2021 Gederal Legislative and Administrative agenda.
5. Briefing on Consideration of City of Fort Worth's 2021 State Legislative
Agenda -T.J. Patterson,Jr., Government Relations
T. J. Patterson, Jr., Government Relations, briefed the Council on the City of Fort
Worth's 2021 State Legislative Agenda.
6. Update on Tarrant County College—Eugene Giovannini,Tarrant County
College
Eugene Giovannini, Tarrant County College provided an update to the Council on the
College.
7. Las Vegas Trail Community Center Update—Fernando Costa,City
Manager's Office and Willie Rankin,LVT Rise
Assistant City Manager Fernando Costa and Willie Rankin, LVT Rise provided an update
on the Las Vegas Trail Community Center.

S. Review of City Council Calendar for January -December 2021 -Mary Kayser,
City Secretary
City Secretary Mary Kayser brought forward the proposed Council Work Session and
Council meeting calendar for 2021. There will be a Resolution on the November 10,
2020, Council Agenda to adopt the 2021 calendar and to cancel the December 8, 2020,
Council Work Session and Council Meeting.
9. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Jordan - allowance for food trucks in meighborhoods
Council Member Zadeh- incremental development
Council Member Bivens-Presentation from Neighborhood Services and NCTCOG on
gentrification
The Mayor announced that there was no need for an Executive Session. There being no
further business to come before the City Council Mayor Price adjourned the meeting at
5:09 p.m.
