NO. 4025 -09 -2011
REAPPOINTING A RESIDENT OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
TO PLACE 11 ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth has established the City of
Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund, and
WHEREAS, Article 62431 of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, which applies to the
City of Fort Worth, requires the Mayor to nominate and the City Council to confirm five
residents of the City of Fort Worth to the Board of Trustees of the City of Fort Worth
Employees' Retirement Fund, and
WHEREAS, Section 2- 214(a)(3) of the City of Fort Worth Retirement Ordinance
specifies the term of office for the trustees appointed to the Board of Trustees of the City
of Fort Employees' Retirement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the previous term for Place 11 ended on August 31, 2011, and
WHEREAS, the current term for Place 11 began on September 1, 2011, and will
expire on August 31, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: that Kimberly Britton be reappointed to fill the
remainder of the unexpired term for Place 11, ending on August 31, 2013.

Adopt a Resolution Reappointing Kimberly Britton as Trustee to Place 11 on the Board of Trustees of the
City of Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council reappoint Kimberly Britton as trustee to fill the remainder of the
unexpired term for Place 11 on the Board of Trustees of the City of Fort Worth Employees' Retirement
Fund for a term ending on August 31, 2013.
DISCUSSION:
Article 6243i of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, which governs the City of Fort Worth Employees'
Retirement Fund requires the Mayor to nominate and the City Council to confirm, by a majority vote, five
residents of the City of Fort Worth to serve as trustees on the Board of Trustees of the City of Fort Worth
Employees' Retirement Fund.
Section 2- 214(a)(3) of the Retirement Ordinance assigns places to the appointed trustees and governs the
term of office for the appointed trustees. The term for Place 11 expired on August 31, 2011. The attached
resolution appoints a trustee to Place 11 to serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending on August
31, 2013.
