REFERENCE NO.: C-26144
with Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc., in the Amount of
Phase I from Heritage Trace Parkway to Alta Vista
a Project Total in the Amount of $1,189,264.00
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of a contract with Brown & Gay
Engineers, Inc., in the amount of $1,158,764.00 for the Northside II 48-inch Water Main, Phase I from
Heritage Trace Parkway to Alta Vista Road, provide for additional staff project costs for a project total in
the amount of $1,189,264.00
DISCUSSION:
In order to satisfy projected 2015 water demands for the Northside pressure planes, it is necessary to
install a 48-inch water main from Heritage Trace Parkway to Alta Vista Road The proposed water main
will connect a 48-inch water main off Heritage Trace Parkway west of 1-35 to an existing 42-inch water
main that is located at the Timberland Boulevard/Alta Vista Road Intersection. The proposed connection
will deliver increased water supply to the Caylor Ground Storage Tank which services the Northside II
pressure plane.
