City of Fort Worth Water Department- Engineering Services Division 311 W. 10°i Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 Re: Upper and Middle Village Creek Sanitary Sewer M-257 Relief Pipeline, Part 2. Contract Amendment No. 6 Design Complete and Construction Services Amendment Dear Mr. Kasavich: This Contract Amendment No.6 is provided for additional service related to Upper and Middle Village Creek Sanitary Sewer M-257 Relief Pipeline, Part 2. The detailed scope is described below. This amendment is necessary to allow Plummer Associates, Inc (Plummer) to continue to assist the City during the easement acquisition, bid phase for Part 2B and for additional support during the construction phase. The following services will be provided: 1) Additional Meetings and Site Visits: a) All scoped meetings have been used. We expect to have additional meetings conference calls or virtual meetings (up to 30) with City staff and two Contractors constructing Part 2A and Part 2B. b) Due to the complexity of the construction on Southern Oaks Golf Course, we anticipate that additional site visits will be necessary for Part 2B construction. Five additional site visits are planned. 2) Additional Project Management, Design, Coordination: The original contract schedule showed 18 months for design and bid, which started in 2009. The project was put on hold for several years. An amendment to restart the project was signed in April 2017. We completed the design for both parts (2A and 2B) in January 2019. Bids were open for Part 2A in February 2019 but delays to the final easement acquisition on the Southern Oaks Golf Course caused many meetings, refinements to meet golf course requirements and delayed bidding Part 2B until May 2020. Additional project management is necessary for the additional months of coordination and responding to project needs from February 2019 to May 2020. Additional coordination and management of the design phase is for 14 additional months. 1320 South University Drive,Suite 300 Fort Worth,Texas 76107 Phone 917.806.1700 Fax 817.870.2536 plummer.com Page 1 of 3 TBPE Firm No.13 Kasavich 10/29/2020 3) Additional Shop Drawing reviews: The original contract allowed review of 5 shop drawings during the construction administration phase. For Part 2A, to date, the Contractor has submitted 55 submittals and Plummer has reviewed and assisted the city in reviewing 7 additional shop drawings at the request of the City. We anticipate assisting the City with 3 more shop drawings on Part 2A or Part 213. A total of 5 additional shop drawing reviews are requested in this amendment. These shop drawings are related to structural designs. All other shop drawings will be reviewed by the City. 4) Onsite Construction Inspection Services: The current scope and fee are based on a 24-month construction time (for Parts 2A and 2B) from July 1, 2019 to July 1, 2021. The original contract is for Plummer to provide part time owner's field representation. In this amendment one-month of field inspection is deleted. If Construction schedules for both Part 2A and Part 2B change and the City requests additional support in Field representation, a future amendment may be requested. 5) Update project documentation efforts onto BIM 360 for Part 2A and Part 213, the original scope did not require this effort, but now is being requested.
