CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION MEETING

With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth
City Council Work Session to order at 3:01 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in City
Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort
Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager- David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
M&C 21-0001, 21-0002, and 21-0003 (tax abatements) will be continued to February
16, 2021.
M&C 20-0907 (Rock Creek Ranch PID 17) open public hearing and continue to
January 26, 2021.
M&C 20-0880 will be withdrawn and a revised version will be brought forward at a
later date.

b. Upcoming and Recent Events
City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2021, for the Dr. Martin Luther King
Holiday. There will be no Council meeting on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, the next
meeting will be January 26, 2021.
City Manager Cooke called on Valerie Washington to introduce Cannon Henry to
detail the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration activities.
Mr. Cooke announced that there will be a virtual Redistricting Task Force public
Hearing on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 6:00 pm (Spanish) and on January 21, 2021,
at 6:00 pm.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
Fire Chief Jim Davis gave a New Year's Eve Report.
Deputy City Manager Jay Chapa gave an update on the Police Chief search.
Assistant City Manager Dana Burghdoff gave an update on the United Way results of
$118,514.
Mayor Price recognized a number of Water Department employees; Laken Rapier for
the 2020 Platinum MarCom Creative Award for the Y'all Wear a Mask" campaign; and
Deputy Chief Michael Shedd who helped a constituent get booster seats.
William Rumuly introdueced Juan Parades as the new Municipal Court Clerk.
D.J. Harrell introduced two new Assistant Directors Jennifer Roberts and Rochelle
Joseph.
Mike Crumb recognized 18 team members who received their Global Biorisk Advisory
Council certification.
Brandon Bennett recognized Code Officer Diana Navarro-Cruz for her assistance to a
family.

Council Member Kelly Allen Gray recognized the Fire Department for their response
to a fire in her neighborhood on December 28, 2020.

There being no further business to come before the City Council Mayor Price adjourned
