RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING IN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, ON AUGUST 9, 1977, AT 9:30 A.M. , FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CONSIDERING THE PROPOSED CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE
NO. 3011, WHICH IS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY, AND PRO-
VIDING THAT SAID HEARING MAY CONTINUE FROM DAY TO DAY UNTIL
EVERY INTERESTED PARTY AND CITIZEN HAS HAD A FULL OPPORTUNITY
TO BE HEARD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
That at 9:30 o'clock A.M. , Tuesday, August 9, 1977, the City Council of the City of
Fort Worth, which is the legislative body of said City, will hold a public hearing
In the Council Chamber at the Municipal Building for the purpose of considering
changes and amendments to Ordinance No. 3011, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of
said City. The ppurpose of said hearing is to determine whether or not said Ordinance
No. 3011 should be amended so that the zoning classification of the following areas
shall be changed as hereinafter specified.
Z-77-76 8.09 acres situated in the William Masters Survey, Abstract No. 1048, situated
about 8 miles north, 73° east, from the Courthouse in Tarrant County, Texas,
and embracing a portion of a tract of land described in the deed to C. LeRoy
Buie, et al, recorded in Volume 4823, page 313, Tarrant County Deed Records,
situated north of Randol Mill Road;
Beginning at a point in the west line of said Masters Survey in the east line
of the P. Witt Survey, Abstract No. 1446, said point being the northwest cor-
ner of a tract of land conveyed to S.R.O. Asphalt, Inc. by deed recorded in
Volume 4144, page 171, Tarrant County Deed Records;
Thence, N 0'9' W, along the common line of said Witt and Masters Surveys,
420.0 feet to a point in the approximate location of the 100-year flood
line, contour elevation 497;
Thence, N 62015' E, along said approximate 100-year flood line, 552.5 feet;
Thence, N 81°40' E, continuing along said approximate 100-year flood line
123.33 feet;
Thence, S 00°05130" E, 695.66 feet;
Thence, N 89°57' W, 611.0 feet to the point of beginning and containing
8.09 acres of land.
Requested from "AG" Agricultural to "K" Heavy Industrial
8.07 acres situated in the William Masters Survey, Abstract No. 1048, situated
about 8 miles north, 730 east, from the Courthouse in Tarrant County, Texas,
and embracing a portion of a tract of land described in the deed to C. LeRoy
Buie, et al, recorded in Volume 4823, page 313, of the Tarrant County Deed
Records, situated north of Randol Mill Road;
Commencing at a point in the west line of said Masters Survey, and the east
line of the P. Witt Survey, Abstract No. 1656, said point also being the
northwest corner -of a tract of land conveyed to S.R.D. Asphalt, Inc. by deed
recorded in Volume 4144, page 171, Tarrant County Deed Records;
Thence, S 89°57' E, 611.0 feet to the point of beginning of the tract herein
described;
Thence, N 00°05'30" W, 695.66 feet to a point in the approximate location of
the 100-year flood line, contour elevation 497;

Thence, along said approximate 100-year flood line the following courses
and distances: N 81°40' E, 187.47; N 76°07' E, 258.4; S 11°45' E, 101.0;
S 86020' E, 23.09 feet;
Thence, S 00°05'30" E, leaving said approximate 100-year flood line,

Thence, N 89°57' W, 479.94 feet to the point of beginning and containing
8.07 acres of land.

Beginning at-a steel rod set in the South bank of the North Fork of
Mary's Creek, where it meets the East bank of the South Fork of Marys
Creek, said point being North 570 11' East, 482.4 feet from the South-
west corner of the Gillis Johnson 147.93 acre tract;
Thence, departing said south bank north 460 19' East 64.0 feet to a
point in the center of the North Fork of Marys Creek;
Thence, northeasterly and up stream with the meanders of the center of
the North Fork of Marys Creek:

and N 49°42' E, 488.7 feet to a point;

to a power pole with a sixty penny nail driven in its north face and

a steel rod set at its base for the Northwest corner of the tract herein

Thence, with a barbed wire fence line S 84°19' E, at 83.2 feet to the center
of a cattle guard made of railroad rails, and continuing with said fence
line, along the south side of a lane, in all 612.95 feet to a fence corner
post with a steel rod at its base, at the northwest corner of a corral, for
the northeast corner of the tract herein described.
Thence, with a wooden fence along the west line of said corral south 3*41 '
west, 53.85 feet to a fence corner post with a steel rod set at its base;
Thence, departing said fence south 03018' west 128.85 feet to a steel
rod set under an old wire fence on the north side of a travelled lane;
Thence, partly with another travelled lane South 09006' east 275.15 feet
to a steel rod set in the center of said lane, 7 feet south of a wide gate
in an east/west fence line;
Thence, continuing with said lane south 01036' west, 504.4 feet to a steel
rod set in its center;
Thence, south 15*05' west 113.45 feet to a set steel rod, a 29 inch elm
tree bears south 80028' west 28.0 feet;
Thence, south 37'32' west, 36.2 feet to a set steel rod, the same elm bears
north 13000' west, 24.7 feet;
Thence, south 11012' west across Marys Creek, in all 156.55 feet to a 26
inch Bur Oak on its South bank, for a point in the south line of the Gillis
A. Johnson 147.93 acre tract and the southeast corner of the tract herein
described, an "X" cut in the top of a concrete dam across Marys Creek bears
north 71°46' east, 152.5 feet, said Bur Oak has a single strand of antique
barbed wire buried approximately 7 inches into the tree about 4 1/2 feet
above the ground, and a sixty penny nail driven 1/2 its length into the
tree on the date of this survey at a height of approximately 5 1/2 feet;

Thence, with the south line of the Gillis Johnson tract, westerly and
up stream with the meanders of the south bank of Marys Creek;
S 72*01' W, 242.6 feet to a steel rod set at the base of a fence
corner post;
and S 86°51' W, 147.05 feet to a steel rod;
and N 78°17' W, 279.75 feet to a set steel rod;
and S 82°12' W, 11.4 feet to a flat iron with a connection on top,
found in place;
and N 72°21' W, 106.95 feet to a 3/4 inch iron pipe found in place;
and N 46°27' W, 162.9 feet to a set steel rod from which an "X" cut
in the top of another concrete dam across Marys Creek bears north
61057' East 9.82 feet;
and N 38011' W, 171.45 feet to the place of beginning, containing in
all some 23.210 acres of land.

That the proposed amendments and changes and this hearing will be held in
accordance with the provisions of Article 1011A--1011K of the Revised Civil
�► Statutes of Texas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution after adopted by the City Council
when published in the official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth, which is
a paper of general circulation, one (1) time, shall constitute a notice of
hearing, which publication shall be made at least fifteen (15) days prior to
such hearing, and all interested parties are urgently requested to be in the
Council Chamber at the City Hall at the time hereinabove set forth to make
any protest or suggestion that may occur to them, and this hearing may continue
from day to day until every interested party and citizen has had a full oppor-
tunity to be heard.
