HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 524 Res-11,1 LUTTON FILE NO. . �-!0 WHEREAS in recent weeks several key city employees have submitted their resignations and WHEREAS the entire city loses when key staff members resign since produc- tivity decreases and the morale of many employees may be detrimentally affected, and WHEREAS the present financial position, the outstanding physical facilities and the various programs provided by the municipal government are not only a result of close cooperation and dedicated public service of many citizens and elected officials but also are directly attributable to the dedicated efforts of the employees of the City of Fort Worth and, WHEREAS there has been much speculation in the media and in conversation which may or may not be factual, regarding the possibility of I future resignations of employees, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council is in full support of the entire staff and particularly in support of all Department Heads, all Assistant City Managers and the Acting City Manager and 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is a vote of confidence in the city staff and an expression of appreciation for the high level of public service rendered by the staff in the past and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the staff should continue to perform in its exemplary manner to provide quality municipal services to the citizens of Fort Worth. cm Or MST Won= MEMORANDUM TO: THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: WALTER BARBOUR, COUNCILWOMAN SUBJECT: RESOLUTION REGARDING PERFORMANCE OF CITY EMPLOYEES Attached is a proposed resolution for consideration Tuesday, February 14th regarding the performance of the employees of the City of Fort Worth. I feel that the resolution is appropriate given the recent resignations and speculation in the media regarding future resigna- tions. It is very important that the entire staff be made aware that this council is fully supportive of the efforts and accomplish- ments of the city staff.
