AMENDMENT No.1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 53570
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Pacheco Koch Consulting
Engineers, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract
No. 53570, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 20-0019 on the 14th
day of January, 2020 in the amount of $ 300, 000; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
Citywide Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project Development and
Engineering Services; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee .
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to the City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer totals $ 99, 000 . (See Attached
Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -4-)
2 .
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $399, 000 .
3 .
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date last written by a signatory,
below.

Contract Amendment 1 for Additional Services
Dear Mr. Naylor:
Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to offer additional Professional Engineering
Services for this project. These additional services are required due to needing additional
miscellaneous storm drain rehabilitation project development services. The previous contract was for
$300,000 for on-call storm drain storm drain rehabilitation project development services and included
six (6) Task Orders with five (5) that are currently ongoing. This amendment is for a $99,000
increase to the original contract amount. All the additional services proposed will be performed in
accordance with the original contract dated January 14,2020.
This Amendment, consisting of one page, and the attached MBE/SBE goal good faith estimate
represent the entire amendment to the original agreement between the City of Fort Worth and
Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Inc. If the terms of this Amendment are acceptable, please
indicate by acknowledging acceptance of the terms of this document.

$300,000.00 for City-wide Miscellaneous and Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project Development and Engineering Services(ALL COUNCIL
DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of an Engineering Services Agreement with Pacheco Koch Consulting
Engineers, Inc., in an amount not to exceed$300,000.00 for City-wide Miscellaneous and City-wide Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project
Development and Engineering Services.
DISCUSSION:
The Agreement recommended by this Mayor and Council Communication will provide task-ordered engineering services for:
• Assessment of small potential drainage improvement projects city-wide and development of basic project scopes,schedules and
budgets that are feasible,effective and constructible.
• Assessment of potential storm drain rehabilitation projects to identify needed engineering services,such as preparation of easement
documents,and
• Performance of other engineering services as needed.
Pacheco Koch proposes to perform the scope of work for this contract for a not-to-exceed fee of$300,000.00. The City will issue
individual task orders to authorize the consultant to perform work under this Agreement until such time as the contract funds have been
expended. The City,at its sole option, may renew this contract under the same terms and conditions one time. In no event shall the term
of the contract exceed 5 years from its effective date. Staff considers the unit costs proposed to be fair and reasonable for the anticipated
services to be performed.
This contract will not result in any additional annual operating cost for the Transportation&Public Works(TPW)Stormwater Management
Division.
M/WBE Office—Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Inc., is in compliance with the City's BDE Ordinance by committing to 15%SBE
Participation. The City's SBE goal on this project is 15%.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation and award of the contract, funds are available in the
current capital budget, as appropriated, in the Stormwater Capital Projects fund. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the
Transportation&Public Works Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
