AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GRANTS CAPITAL PROJECT OTHER FUND,
SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF THE GRANT, IN THE AMOUNT UP TO $750,000.00,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE EVERMAN PARKWAY
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants
Capital Project Other Fund , subject to the receipt of the grant, in the amount up to $750,000.00, for the purpose
of funding the Evennan Parkway Reconstruction Project.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair
the remaining portions , sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions s hall
be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 24446-09-2020 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct confl ict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which in stance said conflicting provisions of
said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Improvements on Everman Parkway Between the Everman City Limits and Oak Grove Road as Part of the Everman Parkway Reconstruction
Project and Adopt Appropriation Ord inance
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize execution of an lnterlocal Agreement with Tarrant County and accept in an amount not to exceed $750,000.00 for roadway
improvements on Everman Parkway between the Everman City limits and Oak Grove Road within the City of Fort Worth as part of the
Everman Parkway Reconstruction project (City Project No . 102102); and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Capital Project Other Fund, in
an amount not to exceed $750 ,000.00, receivable from Tarrant County for roadway improvements on Everman Parkway between the
Everman City limits and Oak Grove Road within the City of Fort Worth as part of the Everman Parkway Reconstruction project.
DISCUSSION:
In 2019, discussions between the City and Tarrant County culminated with a mutually beneficial agreement to reconstruct Everman Parkway from
Oak Grove Road to the Everman City limits. Part of that agreement included a commitment from the County to cost-share in the project with up to
$750 ,000 .00 in reimbursable funds.
Tarrant County will reimburse the City of Fort Worth for material and road milling service costs for the roadway improvements on Everman Parkway
in an amount not to exceed $750,000.00 . The reimbursement may vary depending upon the actual quantities required for
construction. Construction began in spring 2020 and is currently in the fina l close-out stage . Upon completion of the project, there is no anticipated
impact on the operating fund .
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8.
A Form 1295 is not required because : This contract will be with a governmental entity, state agency or public institution of higher education: Tarrant
County
FISCAL INFORMATION/ CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations , execution of the agreement, and adoption of the attached
appropriation ordinance , funds will be deposited into the Grants Capital Project Other Fund . The Transportation & Public Works Department (and
Financial Management Services) is responsible for the collection and deposit of funds due to the City . Prior to any expense being incurred,
the Transportation & Public Works Department also has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
