AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING AN 8 FOOT WIDE
ALLEY, LOCATED IN BLOCK D, W.B. TUCKER'S ADDITION, AN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS SHOWN IN THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME
63, PAGE 123 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 704 SQUARE FEET OF
LAND MORE OR LESS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY SHALL RETAIN ALL
EXISTING UTILITIES EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That an eight-foot wide alley, located in Block D, W.B. Tucker's Addition, an addition to
the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as shown in the plat thereof recorded in Volume
63, Page 123 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and containing 704 square feet of
land more or less, and as more specifically described in Exhibits A and B attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the easement to the land in the above-described vacated alley right-of-way is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
All existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense.

SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5,
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

ALLEY ABANDONMENT
All that certain tract of land situated in W.B.Tucker's Survey,Abstract No. 1577 and being the 8 foot alley in Block D of W.B.Tucker's Addition,
an addition in the City of Fort Worth, recorded in Volume 63, Page 123 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2 iron rebar with cap stamped"Eagle Surveying"found for the southeast corner of said 8 foot alley,the northeast corner of
Lot 6 of said addition and in the west right-of-way line of Crawford Street(a 50 foot right-of-way);
THENCE South 89°28'16"West,with the south line of said 8 foot alley and the north line of said Lot 6 and Lot 5 of said addition,a distance of
88 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rebar with cap stamped"Eagle Surveying'found in the east line of a 10 foot alley of said addition,for the northwest
corner of said Lot 5,the southwest corner of said 8 foot alley;
THENCE North 00°24'S5"West,a distance of 8.00 feet to the northwest corner of said 8 foot alley and the southwest corner of Lot 7 of said
addition;
THENCE North 89°28'16"East,with the north line of said 8 foot alley and the south line of said Lot 7,a distance of 88.00 feet to the northeast
corner of said 8 foot alley and the southeast corner of said Lot 7 and said west right-of-way line of Crawford Street;
THENCE South 00°24'55"East,a distance of 8.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 704 square feet of land.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1.Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of an alley in Block D,W B Tuckers Addition to be replatted with the adjoining property
for a new multifamily development;and
2.Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City policy.
DISCUSSION:
Crowley Surveying,on behalf of Skyview @ Crawford LLC,has requested vacation of this remant alley to be replatted with the adjoining property
for a proposed multifamily development.The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on April 14,2021.An
acceptable final plat(FS-21-040)has been received in accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance.
The City of Fort Worth(City)originally obtained the above mentioned right-of-way through plat dedication.The City does not own any fee interest in
the rights-of--way or own any property adjacent to the right-of-way and did not expend any City funds to purchase the right-of-way easement.In
accordance with the City's policy regarding street and alley vacation transactions approved by the City Council on March 6,2007,Mayor and
Council Communication(M&C G-15624),staff recommends waiving the fair market value or any portion thereof of purchase price of this right-of--
way easement for the alley.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9.
A Form 1295 is not required because:This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that approval of these recommendations will have no material effect on City funds.
