Beck, District 9 Staff Present: David Cooke, City Manager Sarah Fullenwider, City Attorney Ronald P. Strong, Senior Assistant City Attorney Trey Qualls,Assistant City Attorney Reginald Zeno, Chief Financial Services Officer Steve Cooke, Property Management Glenn Balog,Property Management Sergeant David Hobbs,MAP Officer Jason Murtaugh,MAP After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, with a quorum of the City Council Members present, the Fort Worth City Council convened into closed Executive Session at 6:17 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth Municipal Building to discuss matters pertaining to the following: A. The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code: CITY OF FORT WORTH SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING AUGUST 10,2021 PAGE 2 OF 2 CITY ATTORNEY 1. Section 551.071, CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement officers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act. [Tex. Govt. Code 551.071]: a. Legal issues concerning a Settlement Agreement and Release of Claims with Imperial Construction; b. Legal issues concerning City of Fort Worth v. Billy Randolph (Cause No. 348-326524-21; and c. Legal issues concerning any item listed on today's City Council meeting agenda. CITY MANAGER 1. Section 551.072, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING REAL PROPERTY Deliberate the purchase sale, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party. 2. Section 551.087, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS Deliberate the commercial or financial information or the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect. B. Section 551.076, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING SECURITY Deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, in accordance with Section 551-076 of the Texas Government Code. C. The City Council may reconvene in open session in the City Council Conference Room and act on any item listed on the Executive Session Agenda in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
