CLOSED EXECUTIVE SSION
AUGUST 10,2021
After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, Mayor Parker adjourned the City
Council Work Session meeting of the Fort Worth City Council at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday,August 10, 2021,
to convene into the Special City Council Meeting for the closed Executive Session in the City Council
Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth Municipal Building

After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, with a quorum of the City Council
Members present, the Fort Worth City Council convened into closed Executive Session at 6:17 p.m. on
Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth Municipal
Building to discuss matters pertaining to the following:
A. The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the
following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code:

1. Section 551.071, CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY
To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement officers, or any
matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of
Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act. [Tex.
Govt. Code 551.071]:
a. Legal issues concerning a Settlement Agreement and Release of Claims with Imperial Construction;
b. Legal issues concerning City of Fort Worth v. Billy Randolph (Cause No. 348-326524-21; and
c. Legal issues concerning any item listed on today's City Council meeting agenda.
CITY MANAGER
1. Section 551.072, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING REAL PROPERTY
Deliberate the purchase sale, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would
have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party.
2. Section 551.087, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
NEGOTIATIONS
Deliberate the commercial or financial information or the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business
prospect.
B. Section 551.076, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING SECURITY
Deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, in
accordance with Section 551-076 of the Texas Government Code.
C. The City Council may reconvene in open session in the City Council Conference Room and act on any
item listed on the Executive Session Agenda in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government
Code.
With no further business to be conducted, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 6:44 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 10, 2021.
