SUBJECT: Alleyway Mowing in Riverside Neighborhood
r6 IV JAL
Yg7'3
In response to complaints about tall grass and weeds in alleyways within the Riverside
neighborhood, the Neighborhood Services Department has rearranged mowing schedules to
accommodate those alleyways. Maintenance for Riverside area alleyways that are included in
the Alleyway Maintenance Program (AMP) will be completed by Monday, August 23.

Figure 1 shows the alleyways that are within the AMP between TX 121 , Interstate 30, and
Interstate 35. The blue lines in Figure 1 indicate alleyways in the AMP program, whereas the red
lines represent alleyways that are not in the AMP due either to fully paved alleys or to budget
constraints. Figure 2 depicts one alleyway completed on Friday, August 20.
This has been a year of significant rainfall, which has exacerbated the AMP workload and
urgency throughout the city. The rearrangement of mowing schedules will not result in any
additional cost.
If you have any questions about the Alleyway Maintenance Program, please contact
Neighborhood Services Director Victor Turner at 817-392-8187 or
